I wanted to be able to magically interact more with the pawns beyond just enchanting their weapons or giving them a buff (Mystic Knight stuff) when reviving them.
Magick Archer's Ward Arrow and Magick Rebalancer are good examples of what I'd love to see diversified among supportive vocations—targeted or AoE defensive buffs, targeted heals and cures, better AoE heals than Anodyne, et cetera.
