Oh yeah, i forgot about that game, and it seems, so did everyone else because it shut down due to lack of anyone playing it,
I guess Coop wasn't as popular as people like OP thinks it is.
You can use her pawn and she can use yours.
Probably because the developers don't want to focus on net code/divert resources into making a proper online experience for something that was never designed for it? As said above. You want DDO, but DDO never released in the west and barely flourished in the east. So it was shut down.
DD:DA and its sequel are singleplayer games with pawn sharing, and it doesn't need to change.
Your mindset is that of CEOs. Not many people played it so co-op mustn't be a desired thing.
Never mind the fact that the game was still in development. The game also wasn't globally available. The game wasn't highly marketed.
I only found out about the game after it was cancelled. I would have tried it out if there were local servers, and the product was at least finished. Since neither of those happened I missed out.
not really, Dragon's dogma is already a multiplayer game. You share pawns.
Half the fun was finding the interesting pawns that also fought correctly.
then you gave ratings and awards accordingly.
and the added benefit was they were essentially always online.
it be more like complaining like mario kart wasn't an mmo when it was a multiplayer game.
I can see why you say that but It's not a multiplayer game. There is a difference between a multiplayer game, and a game with online elements. This is a singleplayer game with online elements. Pawn rental is also more like a workshop, you can upload your creation to be used by others, it's just instead it's a living NPC. You aren't playing or directly interacting with players.
