Dragons Dogma fail moments!
Since we've naught to do but kill time and use old English incorrectly, how about we discusseth the moments where our failures in the previous title ring most true?

I'll start with a classic: First time in the everfall, descending the depths, encountered undead for the first time but not a huge issue. Then I hear some odd noises up ahead and encounter something between a man and a huge gorilla. An ogre. I had never seen one up until that point, I couldn't see it clearly because...you know, DARK. It was pretty chaotic, especially since I was about level...10. Maybe.

I remember him moving faster than he should have, and at one point did a charging drop kick at me...which connected.....with my back to an open ledge. I fell 5 or 6 stories I think, to my death.

That was fun.

Nothing's a bigger failure than progressing the ♥♥♥♥ out of your game just to get your ass handed to you cause the cheating ass game decided to give that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Orge an edge over you despite your very capable being of kicking his ass just to realize you forgot to save. Now you have to run that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dungeon over again from the beginning....

lol, been there more than once, do not forget the 3 ogres in the quarry, killed 2 died to the 3rd, had to re-battle them all again.

Yeah 1 is ok I run stay away from the others run past them unless I can heal in between. Reminds me of the final boss of bitter black isle you have to fight that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 3 times in a row with no breaks. Did it one time and never again. My God you gotta bring a megaton ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of health potions with you as well as a very good top of the line Pawn assistance. The only time I ever did it was when I hit 200 I tried it I believe 18 times before I got it. Each time I was hiring new Pawns that really makes a difference finding the right team.
But of course the next day steam cloud confused me asking me to sync my game save file I did and my progress was lost. Infuriated I was. Stopped playing for a few years. Love the game but mechanics like that needs improved.

Health potions? i always brought around 20 wakestones, plus some liquid vim.

Yeeeah you butchered ye Olde English proper good.

My failure is that I failed to kill Grigori and took sovereignty instead because why the hell should I kill my source of immortality and bring a cataclysm upon unsuspecting Gransys? Never liked that Selene anyway. Now I am free to roam and hunt monsters as Grigori's self-appointed champion.

Grigori revealed he kidnapped an NPC that was the most precious to my character. I (the player) had no idea who that was. I reeeeeealy wanted to tell that to Grigori, but my only options were to fight for this rando (whose name was never mentioned from that point on and I have no idea who was shacked-up with my character) or let Grigori kill the NPC. I've never been so close to purposely taking the "bad ending" on my first run than that.

My character had been nice to everyone as I usually try to do on a first run. Someone must have eked out a win in the game's invisible romance tally.

The thing is the game kinda forces whoever has the highest affinity for the arisen to be the romantic interest. Meaning you basically have a forced romance.

And it can choose almost anyone besides the dragonforged and the duke. And I do mean anyone. Including kids, which is kind of messed up.
