Reduce note highway transparency?

I started up RS for the first time in years and am finding it hard to identify the upcoming notes due to the pass through nature of the bottom of the note highway. Is there any way to remove the background or make the base of the note highway a solid color/texture so I can discriminate the notes better?

Within the confines of the game settings, no. All you can adjust is the video quality. You might want to check for mods that offer this.

Let me know if you find something. I'm looking for a mod like that too. I agree about the background. It's pretty and fun, but not much help if you can't tell which fret to be on.
