Paratroopers

I used to play as paratroopers in another free2play ww2 game and it was one of my best gaming memories. I googled it but it says paratroopers are obtainble through limited events and premium currency in this game. Is there any way to unlock them for free? Will they bring those limited events back?

The game your were referring to (H&G) is coming back.

Ask on the official Heroes & Generals Discord and you will get an invite to the 2013 Beta channel that is playable right now.

As far as your question, there was a one-time event where you could get them for free.
Now any more. All paratrooper options for all classes are now only obtainable through buying them, and they suck because the one thing that they are supposed to do you can't do in this game (go deep into enemy lines).

I tried looking for it but all that I find is that the servers shut down.

I played it already after watching it on youtube. It's nothing like the OG H&G because it's more like a sandbox game now. Admins are spawning random vehicles and props all over the map like it's GTA roleplay map.

Ok thanks, yeah it automatically kills you when you flank behind the enemy lines... I guess it's not worth to buy it for now.

Costs 50 bucks

You can get them by using the game's currency (silvers) at certain times of the year in "Silvers Boxes", but this box costs 5,000 silvers and you only have a 1% chance of winning a squad, knowing that it won't necessarily be a paratrooper squad.

For my part, I unlocked a paratrooper squad this way. (estimated expenditure: 500,000 silvers) but it wasn't for a nation that I play. x)

Its 1% for squads which you divide by all the event squads in the game. Its more like 0.00xx% for parattroopper squad if you miss more then 20 past events. Im sure theres more then 40 event squads in the game

Thanks for informing me but it seems like getting them isn't an option for me cuz it's too expensive with irl currency and kinda impossible to grind them for free.

Somebody is buying squads at this price because the prices have been same since release. If nobody is buying squads for 50 bucks the prices would have came crashing down but since its been 50-70 bucks for 5 years surely a lot of people are spending that money on virtual soldiers or vehicles

they go on sale.... I got the german para for 50% off. DLC can be purchased via Gajin and 3rd party. Theres deals to be had. I also recommend linking your console to your enlisted account, sony/xbox give out monthly packages and boosters PC players dont get, War Thunder is the same. X Progress.
