Dishonored
Replaying Missions
Hi

Does anything carry over when you replay missions? like notes, runes, bone charms or anything? Or do I have to get everything again? Because i just finished my stealth playthrough of the Overseer Campbell mission and apparently 3 bodies were found. Not quite sure how though, I made sure I hid every one out of site and even did tests to see if the nearby guards would see it on their patrol routes.

So I guess I have to play it again? If i went back on a save and moved the bodies would that make a difference or is it to late? none of my saves are near the beginning they are all quite near the end.

Thank you.

it would make a difference in the stats but it also depends on where the body was found, also nothing is carried other when you play missions so you only keep what you had when you played that mission for the first time

I'll go back and move the bodies and then go back to the extraction point again and see what happens. I'm pretty sure it was the three thugs bodies who knock on granny rag's door that were found, anyone know a good place to hide them?

didn't work. :( guess I'll have to start again. what are the best places to hide bodies? I think they may have been found after I branded overseer campbell and the alarms go off. because the guards go off their routes then but that alarm doesn't seem to count at the end, only the bodies.

An alarm does remove the ghost ”stat”. But unless you trigger it yourself being seen by the guards in the first place do the same thing so, yeah. There is some shenanigans you can do with triggering alarms and it slightly raises chaos, but nothing most people will notice.

Personally I like to aim high or low when hiding people, or ex-people for that matter. ;)

(Most of these tips are applicable to most good stealth games, just a bit easier to do in Dishonored do to the spells, by the way.)

The guards don't tend to look up or under furniture, so they tend to make the best hiding spots. Chandeliers are awesome for this. Just be careful if your playing nonlethal, they tend to flop about a bit and end up falling head first, this will more often then not kill the poor bastards. It's not vary subtle though, you'll hear a laud CRACK and a blood pool will appear, so you can easily see when things have gone wrong.

But honestly the most important thing is to think on your feet and the closer the better, because getting caught flatfooted is never good. Is there a place in this room? Or nearby? Those kind of things.

Of course if your feel nothing for your fellow man, bodies and rivers have something of a thing together, theoretically speaking... Oh, and shadow-kill and rat-swarm of course.

Hope that helps.

thanks, there is a walkway right above the bodies I could use. does it have to be a certain height for them not to see it? or can I hide them any place above?

I haven't tried them all, but apparently the harder the difficulty the more eagle eyed the guards get and vice versa.

I don't have hard numbers, but a meter above eye level? Somewhere along those lines on normal at least. Rule of thumb seems to be if they don't have to tilt their head to look at it, they can see it. (Minus range and shadows of course.)

I should have mentioned this in the last post, but something the game doesn’t tell you is that you can creep under things if there is a small gap. Tables, crawlspaces and the like, and if you drop someone in that state they make no sound and are harder to spot.

On a small aside I find it hilarious that bastards aren't censored on this board but the other word for poo poo is.

ok, thank you very much. :) and lol

I'll try and make sure there is a small barrier or something on the walkway to hide them behind. guards did tend to spot me high up on the hardest difficulty, especially if I used a crossbow for a distraction or an alarm was triggered.
