How to kill a "Tallboy"?

I tried to kill him with the crossbow (Not with the firebolt),grenades,pistols and the windhit level 1 (i have got the german version so i dont know how its called XD) but it was impossible to kill him do you have any advices how i could kill a tallboy?

Do what I do, blink on top of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and then stealthkill it.

Sustained fire from a crossbow or pistol will take him down eventually. Explosive shots will do so quicker. Blinking at his face and striking once with the sword should take him down instantly and give you an achievement. If you have the wind power and you time it right you can return his explosive bolts, two or three of those are lethal.

if you hit him right you can also take down a tallboy with an oil canister, that saves ammunition.

Try to aim for the whale oil tanks on his back. That will blow him up.

Easiest ways to kill Tallboys are either to drop assassinate them from some roof or once you unlock the higher jump, just sneak up on them and assassinate them in the back with a high jump. If you have a hard time timing it, use time stop/slow.

I have never been abke to kill a tallboy with anything ranged, so what I do is I run around and lead it to a light or something I can jump off of and drop assassinate it. (Or just run around until it gives up)

Just shooting him in the face works, or drop assasinations (though it can be a pain in the ass to find a place where you can drop on a 8 meter tall guy....).

Have to say though, even when I'm killing a lot I prefer avoiding tallboys over killing them, because it's hard and just no fun.

Double jump from behind and it's a kill. Simple as that. Or blink into his face and stab him.

Once you teleport to be directly on top of the tallboy, what is the button (by default mapping) for assassinate?

tallboy can be drop killed even without being in stealth, if you blink at the right angle in front of them you can do it instantly
