Flooded District - Always getting detected?
I'm trying to do a no-detection, lethal playthrough. It's going well so far but on the Flooded District level, I always get detected. I don't know when or by who, but when I finish the level, the Ghost box is always unchecked.

I've played it three times now and can't for the life of me figure out what is seeing me. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe it has something to do with Granny Rags? (I've tried both options when I get to her place in the sewers, no luck.)

Am wondering if this could be the problem, before when you go to where your gear is there is an overseer crawling across the ground and he puts his hand up to you.Maybe he has seen you before he dies, don`t do stealth myself but just an idea.

Doesn't count unless he has the alert marks above his head, but good thought tho.

I have noticed something that makes me wonder if it's a glitch--after you kill Daud and leave his area, and come out in that tunnel in the new area (the section with all the tallboys), the music that is playing is the "fight" music, like when you've been detected. This has happened every time--is it possible the game is "detecting" me for no reason?

This happens to me as well. I found that if I instantly blinked after the transition, the music would not play. This didn't help me get the ghost box checked though. I'm certain that nothing has ever seen me, and tried every variation on the Granny Rags/Slackjaw problem with no luck.

I've a feeling the only certain way to do this is to skip the Granny Rags missions at the beginning altogether. Otherwise, it seems to be totally random.

Edit:
I had to make a new game and purposely miss all the Granny Rags missions to avoid detection here. Some people have said that they have been able to get past Franny and Slackjaw and still get ghost, but this is probably the only way to do it for certain.

Weird.
I got ghost and clean hands on my first try.

What I did on the Granny Rags part was the following:
First I heard both Rags and Slackjaw, then I choked Rags, blinked to her room without being seen, burned her Cameo, climbed the window on the left side of the room (so the rats couldn't reach me) and waited for her to blink nearby to shot a sleep dart.
Looted the key, got the reward from Slackjaw and that's it.

Exactly like I did it in the video, and it works for me perfectly. Maybe choking out Rags the first time is key to it?

Weepers do count, both for detection (Ghost) and kills (Clean Hands). They're not "dead", they're diseased.

This isn't my experience. Weepers and Civies haven't ever counted towards my Ghost runs, on the console or computer.

If they no longer count, they changed it long after release. Civies do not, but anyone who gets the lightning marks above their heads for detection do.

I know it's been a while since anyone commented, but I'm having this problem too? Did anyone ever figure out the solution? This is my third playthrough, I've been in high chaos, but I"m willing to go low for this one mission. Mainly, I just wanted to see if I could get both Ghost and the High Chaos achievements on the same playthrough.
-I avoided both Granny and Slackjaw, and I'm pretty good at avoiding just about everyone.
-I am getting the random fighting music too, in the tunnel as soon as I enter the district proper (leaving Daud's base, right after the loading screen.)
-I've gotten it in a few other places, most of which I've managed to avoid by doing things like Blinking over the roofs, or not fighting some of the Whalers (I realized a couple of them were detecting me, even though I stopped time.) I can get through that entire area, without anything coming up, and I've completely avoided everyone and everything in the district and the sewer, but still: no Ghost.

Is it just an impossible bug that shows up sometimes to ruin a gamer's nigh-perfect run through? Because if so, I am very annoyed, and I hope they fix it in the remastered version...

I botched both Ghost and No Kills early this run, but I did hear Samuel asking to let him know if I wanted him to jump in when I was blinking away from guards by the wall of light cage in the crumbling building.

If anyone "alerts" RED, then you have been "seen" and ghost run is a fail.

Same problem. High chaos, no detection. I did several reruns of this mission , can't explain why I can't get ghost check at the end of the mission. Must be a bug.

I also had this problem three times, on the fourth try I made sure to REALLY tread carefully around the Granny Rags spot.

So here's how I did it, sneak in the door right in the beginning when she's talking to Slackjaw. Immediately blink to the left up the stairs.

Go in her bedroom and loot everything in there. Open the door to the incinerator and quick-save (F5).

Ok, place her cameo in the fire and close the door and IMMEDIATELY turn left and blink out of the window.

This is where you have to time it just right. She will blink upstairs to her room but she won't see you right away giving you just enough time to blink out the window.

But you have to sleep dart her immediately after the cameo burning has an affect on her. You can tell because she will all of a sudden moan or something and a sound will play.

If you wait more than a second or two after the burnt cameo affect she will AUTO-spot you even if you are nowhere near her, so you MUST sleep dart her right after the cameo burning affects her.

(not right after you burn her cameo, because there is a slight delay between you putting it into the incinerator and it actually affecting her)

If you sleep dart her too early she will 'poof' into rats and then her body will drop on the floor and be dead somehow. If you sleep dart her too late then she will have automatically spotted you even if you are a mile away.

If you can't get it from what I wrote I will put a video up for you tomorrow morning.
