Replaying Missions
Ok so i have a question. I've finished the game and when i go to missions and select one at random i seem to have powers and weapons. How does the game decide which ones to give you. Does it go off of what you had on your first play through? If i play through again and select different upgrades will it use those instead? I'm high confused.

Just Google it, instead of waiting for someone to reply.

Well, I just searched on Google a lot, I saw even that you have to press ~ even before Dishonored starts, but I doesn't work I saw, or I did it wrong.

As far as I know, Its Very Hard- If NOT Impossible - to Get All upgrades/ weapons/ Powers in the Game, mainly its due to the Missions being the Low replayability value, ie. it Does NOT keep your Powers and Money When u Replay the Mission from the main Menu (Unless I missed out some Option to save your resources, in WHich case the game would probably get much easier)

i think you missed my point i'm not asking for full powers i asking how the game decides which powers you should have for a given mission when replaying from the main menu.

It's decides your powers based on your last playthrough. So you beat the game, so all the skills you had when you beat it will be the ones you have in Mission Playthrough. Now if you start a new story game. then you will have the skills in that playthough.

I.E.

Start new game, get blink, if you go to do a mission selection you'll only have blink.

I had your exact same question. After messing around a bit, I believe this is the answer:

When you complete mission A, you can select either "replay mission" or "continue." If you choose the latter, then you will move on to Mission B and that playthrough of Mission A will count as a "completion" for Mission A. In the game menu, when you select mission A, it will display the stats for the playthrough of your last "completion."

Additionally, and in direct answer to your question - if you choose to replay Mission A, it will load the weapons/upgrades/powers/etc that you had at the beginning of your last completion.

I hope that is clear? It is convoluted, I'm sorry.

TL;DR - A mission will load the profile of your character at the start of your last "completion."

So that means if we complete mission X, we can replay mission X again with all new powers we got from the last completed mission x?
Vira Edenfell Jan 1, 2013 @ 9:14am
dokta, it means that what ever powers you had PRIOR to the said completed mission you will have when you replay. nothing new, nothing else. only powers you had from the mission before.

Thanks I googled this for a while but did not find anything.
I did a high chaos run as my first go at the game, and was planning a pacifist challenge next, but now I can't decide, I don't want to overwrite my gorey powers with some peace-only selections.

does replaying missions count towards the achievment?
so, if i replay the missions in which i got detected, will i get the achievment for not getting detected in all missions after the prison break mission?
