Overseer Campbell quest bug?
As soon as I enter the room to poison the glass, the other door opens automatically (with nobody around it), Campbell and his guards yell "I'll find you!" and then run out of the room right past me. Does anyone have a workaround for this problem yet?

I've just had this happen to me too, and I didn't open any cage doors.
Foxpass Aug 31, 2013 @ 8:05am
It's not a "cage door", as in a door to a cage, but a metal gate door that is right behind where Martin was being held. The door opens from the other side, and normally you would just blink over the gate, but it is possible to open it from either side.

No one has been able to explain how opening this door would cause the bug, it has just been observed that the bug occurs after opening it, and replaying from before that point results in the bug not occurring. It may have absolutely nothing to do with the door, but loading a save before entering Holger square and not touching the door has the best chance of getting you around the bug.

Yes, I can confirm what Foxpass said, I never encounter this bug until I try to open the bar door just after freeing Martin.

Just adding another confirmation for anyone hitting this bug. They'd run out, alerted, every time I entered the room no matter what I did, as described by the OP - and I had opened the gate behind Martin. I restarted the level and did not open the gate - bug fixed!

Yeah no kidding... please tell me everyone experiencing this bug tried restarting the level?

Experiencing the very same bug..I entrered through the large double doors though

Regardless of the cause, I managed to open the doors to the meeting room, blink to the glasses, swap the glasses, blink to the window, then run after the overseer and shoot him in the back with a sleep dart without being seen, so no big deal.

Happened to me only once on my first play. Now I take my time & they take a while to enter & I have lots of time. I wonder if it depends on difficulty level you play or just makes it interesting not knowing if you will have time or not. Adrenaline pumping! Doesn't seem like a bug to me-I've played many times with no trouble anywhere. Or maybe depends which window you crawl through?

No, it's a bug. Every time you go through the level they should enter casually (even if a nearby alarm was rung). The bug is caused by opening the gate after you free Overseer Martin. All it takes is a simple level restart.

Edit: I'll make a video showing that it happens when you open the gate and post it here.

Here. I recommend watching it with the audio off. I'm still fairly new to this editing software and couldn't figure out how to speed up the audio along with the video, so throughout most of the clip they're not in sync.

Hey Smilodon, thanks for pointing out that the bug is caused by opening that gate too early! I replayed the part just before this and everything worked fine. So a restart of the whole level isn't necessary, thankfully. :)
Stupid bug nonetheless - it almost made me not buy the pretty neat game... :rfacepalm:

Same here, June 2016 and still the same bug happened to me. For a new player who doesnt know the workaround its actually quite annoying.

It is the iron door after you free Martin the Overseer. At the place where the game asks you to blink to cross over obstacles. Once you are over, you should be able to find a lever that opens a door besides it. Flipping the lever causes the bug to happen. The player wasn't suppose to flip the lever, Overseer Martin should.

At the meeting room (Without the bug). If you switch the two glasses. Campbell will be poisoned and the other overseers will come. After a quick quarrel, Martin and his guards will kill other overseers and try to find a way to escape the facility. This is when Martin runs all the way back to the iron door and pulls the lever.
I believe the game detects whether the lever is pulled or not to trigger the overseers aggro towards Campbell. Which also explains why Campbell, Martin and the guards ignore the player after they rush out of the room. Campbell is not looking for the player, but Martin and his Guards. And Martin is also not looking for the player, but to escape. My guess, not 100% sure :/
