Dishonored

Mouse and keyboard or xbox 360 controller?
Being that this is not a shooter(which is a must for mouse and keyboard) but an action/stealth game, which do you people prefer?

I'm thinking this might be one of the games i'd like to sit back on the couch and play this game on my big screen TV and use the controller, but I could be wrong.

Mouse and keyboard here.

Mouse and keyboard here. For games like this, you need to have the precision of the mouse, and you can't go wrong with a keyboard.

What? "for games like this you need precision"? it is not a twitch shooter, and twitch shooters are the games that you need a mouse for.

I find it easier to play with a 360 controller, plus you dont get vibration with a mouse & keyboard.

Yeah, I agree with MåÐèÔFF™: the extra precision of a mouse for a stealth/action game is of no benefit here. There's nothing "precise" about Dishonored. It's really just a matter of preference.

I think you'd be fine with a controller, it has a radial menu for selecting weapons and powers which always works well with a controller.

Controller is ALWAYS Secondary to a Mouse/Keyboard... unless the developers are incompetent.

I'm going to be playing controller on this one...its not a shooter...so aiming shouldn't be needed. That way I can sit on the couch and game out on the big screen!

I'm trying to get better with my XBox 360 controller...since it is SO much better gaming on the TV than my small screen. I just cant aim for my life with it.

And Big Picture, basically turns my laptop into a super high end console system. Loving it!!

I'm starting to think this game might be better played with a controller and I always play mouse/kb unless its a racing game. I have found one issue with the controls already when using keyboard. Also as NOTWS said you get vibration. I might go the big picture route and play this one from the living room with a wireless controller. As others have said it is not the type of game where you have to be highly precise with your targeting, at least not yet.

I'm playing with a controller. I just find it, more fun that way. The ONLY problem with a controller and this game, is aiming Blink properly I find. But it's not a twitch shooter as others have said, so it's no biggie really.

for you guys using a controller, what auto aim and aim assist options are you using?

Haven't downloaded it on my machine yet, but I'm likely going to use my mouse and keyboard for blink precision. Watching some of Jesse Cox's playthrough it looks like a pain to aim blink with a mouse and keyboard, so I don't want to complicate things further by using a pad.
