well you did place them in that predicament :D involuntary manslaughter? :D
What's BS about that? You did something that caused them to die. If someone knocked out your dog, then left him dangling from a ledge over a river, you'd hold that person responsible when your dog fell in and drowned.
i like putting them on chandeliers.
I think Dishonored would be freaking amazing if Arkane would have worked with the detection/alert mechanics a little bit more. For example, if a guard or overseer was walking along, and they saw those shadows cast on the floor from a body on the chandelier, they would alert to 1 lightning bolt. Also, if they would take notice more of security systems being down. I know in the Tower mission, if someone finds one down, a guard will walk around with whale oil and such, but I don't think they alert, or at least I've never seen them do it. Again, if they would get a 1 lightning bolt alert level that would be pretty cool. I know some people were saying in a forum, where they were talking about the game (though most of the posters were displaying dislike for the game, comparing it to Thief and such, saying that Dishonored is only a stealth game because of stupid AI), that Arkane could have employed a slightly better stealth system, where if guards noticed doors opened that weren't opened, that they would alert and start to search a little, and other things like that. I mean, I like the game as it is, but if anyone says that things simply can't be improved then they'd be lying. Nothing bad about the game though. What were we talking about again? How did I get here? Oh, chandeliers....
very good points, i think in general thats whats wrong with stealth games, it doesnt feel stealthy most of the time. id give Skyrim stealth system as an example (i know its not a stealth game im just citing the stealth mechanics). Shoot someone in the face with an arrow they look for you for a bit and if they cant find you "it must have just been the wind"my imagination", really? you got a damn arrow sticking out of your face. AC has been like this as well, youd think one important person/bunch of guards being killed would alert the whole city indefinitely, i cant wait for a stealth game that oermanently puts enemies on alert the whole mission if they found a corpse of one of their bodies.
