How long did it take to you finish the game?
Ready this months PC Gamer someone said it only took them I think 11 hours to play through the game. Was curious how long it took everyone to finish the game. It took be 49 and that me going through everything, reading everything and generally playing at my normal speed on normal level. I always see people going through games quick where it will take me at least twice as long.

I can't say for sure because it has been a while, it was something around 8 hours i think.
But i barely read any of the books(I suppose you can get at 1-2 hours "playtime" from that)

I have honestly no idea how you could have spend so much time on a single playthrough, but that's good for you i guess, if you enjoyed every minute of it :)

You can see how much time you spent on it from your library unless you deleted the game already. I tend to look through everything and will go back and forth. I get killed and that creates more time in the game...and occaisonlly I will leave the game running when checking something online but that is proabably only maybe 5% of my time in the game. Hell I am playing New Vegas GOTY and I have 165 hours into and probably not even half way through it though I have gone through all the DLC's so far.

It only shows your total amount of playtime, which in my case doesn't help answering the question as i played through the game many times.
It's 54 hours btw. But those are more than 3 full playthroughs of the Main Story, 2,5 Playthroughs of the Knife of Dunwall DLC and at least 10 hours in the City Trials DLC as i tried to unlock all of the Achievments.

Getting all of the Achievments was more an excuse to play more of the game, than anything else :D

The 160 hours in New Vegas thing doesn't surprise me as much as the 49 in Dishonored, or at all really. It's the kinda game where that sorta stuff happens, but in Dishonored you can only do so much in each level until there is litteraly nothing left to do other then finishing it and going to the next one.

Ya I don't know what I did to get that much time..I think a lot of it was sitting waiting for enemies to come by... I would try to go through the map in every option they gave you.

no way it took 49 hours to play this game. either you left it running or the Steam timer is off which happens all the time. it reports some crazy times for me.

Just finished it yesterday. Took me something like 14 hours.

15 hours. No rushing, or anything, but no mucking about, either.

I think a bit less then 20 hours.
I want to check (almost) everything, and I also wanted to be more or less a 'good' player. So when I left the building with only dead body's inside, I mostly loaded a previeus save. And most of the missions I played at several ways. I'm just curious and want to see how things will work out.
Another playthrough, with 'clean hands' and so on, took me around 10 hours.

But that was all a few months ago. And now I'm gonna try again, and play the game without loading/saving. So if I make a mistake, then I have to deal with it. I guess this will take much less time :p

I think mine was at least 25+ hours, with stealth play and full exploration and no purposedly trying to get achievements. Quickest was 3 hours with my third playthrough where I was aiming for the achievement beating the game with no upgrades except blink.

Only three hours? How's that possible? I guess you knew the level layout like the back of your hand? ^^

Around 15 I think.

Guess I am just a slow player. Don't hurry threw things. Always try to read everything and find everything. Will sometimes sit on top of a building and look over my options. And of course after dieing you have to replay the area where you died.

it does not matter how slow you are as there is no way it takes 49 hours to play through this game. again if you are looking at the Steam timer then its WAY off for many of my games.

OK again thats you...I know how long it took.

does the game itself have a timer? if not then you dont know. and again there is not even remotely close to 49 hours of gameply available on single playthrough unless you stared at a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wall for 30 of those hours cause even 20 hours is hard to get taking your time and doing everything possible.
