There is an auto save feature....once every 2 or 3 hours :((

It said there was an auto save so I did't even look to save it myself. I was playing for about 2 and a half hours, then I got spotted and just slaughtered. I had to start WAY BACK AT THE DAMN BOAT. I figured it would at least save at leading screens, but no. At least there is a save feature you can use, but it would have been nice if it said so.

Getting really tired of games not being clear about at what points they are saving.

it auto saves way more often then that for me. i gotta say it too. people are never happy. if there is no manual save they ♥♥♥♥♥.. if there is manual save they ♥♥♥♥♥ about the auto save. it's really your own fault.

If I knew there was a manual save I would have used it. But it SAID there was an auto save feature, so I never even looked for it. Then when I had to reload it took me back 3 hour to the very begining of the game. The place im talking about is when you are running around in the begining after you get out the sewer. You get to the old lady, you go in the house, you go in the plant and poison the bad guys meds....All that without an auto save.

On top of that every time you do anything in the game it explains it. "To punch, press LMB" "To jump, jump" "to walk forward, press forward" but not once does it say "Save your progress often, because we only autosave between ..." I dont even know what it does autosave, most games do after a loading screen, this one hasnt yet.

I know 3 hours was long, but I was chasing down those heart pieces, so there was not a lot of forward momentom, and I was trying to get the "didnt kill anyone" rewards. Im sure if I just ran through and slayed the town it would have been much faster.

I did some Googling and it's apparent that this auto-save issue only happens on pirate copies of the game, in particular, torrents from SKIDROW. Perhaps you're not using a torrent, but it does seem a bit suspicious?

After looking up what you are talking about, that problem has to do with the date and time stamps or something. Nothing to do with the frequency in which is saves.

I dont know if its the fact that I have been saving a lot (now that I know I can) or if its been auto saving, but after the first mission the problem seem to have gone away.

The only reason I got it there was that it was in the wrong place. It was supposed to be like 60 bucks, but I got it for 25 because it was in the "value software" section. After ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it with the manager I got it for the 25 bucks.

No, you have to register it was Microsoft. The "Games for Microsfot" overlay came up asking form my Live ID after asking for the CD Key

The "Games for Windows" logo on the box means it's just a game for Windows, not that it uses Games for Windows Live.

OP is a lying pirate. I bought it from Gamestop and it forced you to use it on Steam. It even says it on the freaking box. Therefore, it's not a problem with the game's code, it's an issue with your moral code. Buy the damn game and then you get tech support. I've met the developers and they're cool guys, and if you don't have the money for it, just wait for a sale.

Yep, sorry, dude, you've been rumbled. Legitimate copies of the game _require_ the Steam client, and require you to register the game on Steam. The game is published under the "Games for Windows" banner, it does not use GFWL DRM. It's a fully Steamworks-enabled title, there's no getting round that fact, I'm afraid.

I didnt get it, I played it at his house. He was in the middle of game 2 or 3 I think.

Im sure its a lot of people's flavor, just not mine. I dont normally play games for hours at a time, so I like them to be a little more actiony. Different episodes might be different, but what i played was a lot of finding items to unlock other items to open other items to get more items.

My mom loves those kind of game.
