If you watch the video, watch it with the sound off, because when I made it long ago I was still getting used to the editing software and the spots where I fast forward the game, the audio remains the same and they get out of sync.
btw, Good find!
There was a Cheat Engine table that cleaned mission stats, but I can't seem to find a working version. Does this still exist?
I refuse to replay a 4-5hr mission over being penalized for a bug inherent in the game.
Did M2 really take you 4-5 hours? That is admirable actually you must have explored a HUGE amount. But seriously were you only planning to play the game once? If achievements are important to you then I have to tell you that you can't get them all in one playthrough.
Also, an alarm doesn't automatically negate the Ghost (Never Detected) checkmark, either. Hostiles will typically sound an alarm when they find someone dead or unconscious but, that by itself doesn't count as a detection. Npc's have to actually spot you, for you to lose the checkmark, which is easier to have happen during an alarm condition.
It would be nice if there was some way to clean the slate, because I really don't want to restart the entire level because of an unreliable issue that could simply happen again.
I really like the premise of Dishonored, and am a huge fan of the stealth genre, starting with Thief and co, but this nonsense with a 5 year old bug is really turning me off.
