What Do the Mystical Artifacts do?
After meeting the outsider you get back to your room Lots of Runes and 4 Mystical Runes, which don't appear in your inventory and don't seem to do anything?
Do they increase abilities?

You know the Whale , Rat, Wolfhound and Fish Mystical Artifacts.... look good!

I was tempted to leave them in my room

Those are money pickups, IIRC they're worth 150 gold each. It's a part of the Void Walkers Arsenal.

Amazing how I can have something and not know about it!

I was dubious about the bone charms as some seem totally silly or only useful for
1 action in 1 location in 1 mission like get slight extra health from fountains.

But your right I wondered howcome I had 7 to 10 Charm slots when the description in game was saying I only had 4

Yea artifacts aren't transformed into gold like normal loot.
I just checked and they give you 1 extra bone charm slot.
