Language bar disappear after launching game

Hello, my language bar always disappear after launching. Is there a way to avoid this ?

Does your taskbar auto-hide (the default windows setting)? I hate that so always set the taskbar to stay on-screen this could explain why my language bar doesn't move when I stop playing. If you lock the taskbar but keep it auto-hiding this could be the result, have you tried that? or possibly like this: disable auto-hide, lock the taksbar, install dishonored again, and when that is done re-enabke auto-hide and see if you get the same issue.

I'm pretty sure the taskbar was already locked with auto-hide disabled, since it was the default setting for me. Also just to be sure when I'm talking about the language bar it's actually called input indicator in Windows 10 (it shows the first three letters of your current keyboard layout or language in the bottom right corner).

Are you sure that after launching your game and exiting you can switch keyboard layouts with Windows+Space or Alt+Shift?

Yes. I also recommend to set English as a primary language (if you have more than one).

Thanks a lot mate! I was about to break my keyboard thinking it was it's issue

An easier method is Settings > Time & Language > Typing > Advanced Keyboard Settings > Select a keyboard language from there and the language service will become functional again. Much faster than removing/adding a language or restarting the PC
