Whale Tank Slot Glitch?

So i'm likely in the penultimate set of areas and i need to set a whale tank into the machine in Piero's shop...here's the problem:

I can't.

Theres no prompt to open the case...either i'm missing something here or i dunno. He want's me to "do the honors" of putting the tank in but i cant. I figured maybe there's another place i need to place it but theres no mission marker for it and i can't find anything that stands out as "Hey! Put a tank in me dumbass!"

Is this a glitch...or am i just really failing my perception rolls?

You are on the mission "The Loyalists," correct? The Arc Pylon is on the roof; there are several cases of whale oil in it already, and you just have to put in the last one.

have you opened the cases of whale oil? there is a lever near where you are supposed to place the whale oil, activate it and it should work.

if it stil isn't working however, you will have to either leave piero in his workshop (it is not required to save him) or kill/knock out every single guard and tallboy in the map (tallboys must be killed)

i must of overlooked it..i did see the oil cases on the roof of the shop but i didn't get a prompt to open them. I'll double check...if not i'll do what i do best this run:

Could you do it?
I opened the case, and I was expecting an empty tank that I can fill up in Piero's garage, but there was just two of them. Which is a shame since I cannot find any other tanks anywhere. Well, actually I can, the tallboys dropped them, they're even full, but I just cannot pick them up. It wouldn't let me, there's no prompt. I killed everything, I went everywhere, but there's just no empty tank...

Update: OMFG for fcks sake... I just found the frickin dipenser in the garage... lol

Edit: Just saw your edit.

Just for anyone else that is having problems: There is a empty tank dispenser across from the oil filler that is used to fill a tank to take up to the roof before using the handle to open the shield to power the arc pylon.

In such situations in this game, there is always available two things: A whale oil tank dispenser, and a filling station.
