Dishonored
Dishonoured - Bloody Blade (possible bug/glitch?)
I've been playing a Clean Hands game and up to a point in the game the blade was clean but when I got up to Lady Boyls Last Party the blade was suddenly covered in blood, I first noticed this after buying the King's Street Brandy from Piero. Can anyone offer me advice?

Did you kill any rats?

They don't count for clean hands, but they trigger the blood effect on the blade.

You murdered a ghost.

In my experience, killing rats doesn't bloody the blade. Only killing human forms or wolfhounds does.

Yep, killing rats bloody's the blade. I was playing a no kill game and had a wtf moment when I woke up for a miision and my blade was red. Took me ages to figure it out. Well the killing of more rats helped. :D

How are you doing that? I've killed single rats as well as rat swarms attacking me. In none of the situations where I've killed rats does it bloody my blade. The rats die and blood splatters everywhere but not on my blade. I've tried this in all chapters with no resultant blood on my blade.

I *do* get a bloody blade when killing guards or weepers.

I woke up for the Admirals weeper mission in the sewer underneath the Hounds Pit and hit L-mouse and my sword was red. It was a no kill game so no weepers,no civs, no watch were harmed. For the rest of that game my sword was both clean and bloody at times. I remember distinctly that for the beginning of the Boyle Party during the same game that it was bloody too. I think there must be some glitch.

I also don't get the world card for Granny's rune in the Knife of Dunwall Eminent Domain mission every mission. it's very hit and miss. I'm replaying now hoping I get it after two misses.

You should have the "Pick the World card" option, among the others, if not maybe you haven't triggered the mission yet.

Problem solved. I think it was a video hiccup between driver releases. it's gone with the latest NV release. Granny Rags world card recipe is back on the table. I guess for some reason the paper on the table cloth wan't being rendered? IDK. It's back anyhow.

Nope, I don't kill rats, I find that the blade is only bloody after I buy the upgrade for Corvo's sword. so I'm thinking it's a glitch/bug with the Blade Crossing upgrade :-/

I've had the blood effect show after loading a save - I got spotted and decided to start using my sword on guards on an otherwise clean-hands playthrough but I died, then when I loaded, my sword was still red. I still managed to get clean hands due to not killing anyone in the timeline.
