Lady Boyle Non Lethal Choice
After playing through Dishonored, I was wondering if it was more merciful to kill Lady Boyle or give her to that creepy dude. I ended up killing her, but I was wondering if it really would be a fate worse than death.

What are your opinions on it?

I gave her to the guest for my Clean Hands achievement, but definitely felt skeezy about it. In a lot of ways the non-lethal choices are actually a lot more heinous than simple assasination - Campbell is visibly deformed and becomes a weeper, the twins have their tongues cut out and work manual labour in silver mines, the spymaster has his crimes publicly aired and his colleagues turn on him, and of course Lady Boyle's fate.

We never really learn how Lady Boyle feels about Lord Brisby so, by taking her to him, we could be an accomplice to a kidnapping. If she doesn't reciprocate his love, what awful fate might await her? But, if she did, we would be helping young lovers escape to a better life, together. However, as ALT08 points out, the writers have devised some grotesque non-lethal outcomes. In that vein, I shutter to think of what Lady Boyle's future would be.

As far as Lady Boyle goes, doesn't it depend on which Lady Boyle? They all three have different personalities. One of them will f--- anyone or more than one. So for her being slipped away from the hand of death well... Brisby's attentions may be well rewarded. Another sister is so paranoid she thinks someone is after her and may see Lord Brisby as a timely savior. As long as Brisby can kept his mouth shut about his love from afar b.s. anyways. The third one, the stuck up b----, her it's probably better to simply bring her end as quick and merciful as possible. As much as I think Lord Brisby is a weirdo I wouldn't want to visit a long life in her company on him. Even if he was game. :D

Boyle deserved what she got and then some after reading the in game book entries. However, due to wanting the achievement I gave her to Creepy McAbductor because, let's face it, starting out as some rich chick only to wake up far away from your lavish mansion and be held prisoner for the rest of your days by some stalker is kind of hilarious considering all she did.

Though the non-lethal choices make the world better, I always feel kind of bad performing them. It's hinted that Lord Brisby is Lady Boyle's stalker and not really a lover, so this is actually a pretty bad fate for her, maybe worse than death.

Talking to the outsider reveals a pretty miserable, if significant'y longer, life (she'll live out her days...far away, even as her fine clothes wear into tatters and her silken hair gets dull and gray) with Brisby. He ain't a nice guy.

She's always the one I feel worst about, because she's the only one of your targets (other than Sokolov, who gets a pretty good ♥♥♥♥♥♥' deal) that never actively worked to harm you. It doesn't seem like she was in on the conspiracy to murder Jessamine. She was clearly involved with Burrows to keep her family from ending up on the list of people falsely condemed for having the plague. At worst, she indirectly funded Daud's work.

That said, The Boyles are all kinda awful in their own ways, and clearly came into their wealth by making a lot of lives very ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and/or short.

If it's Waverly I usually feel less bad, given that she's a creepy rapist too. That feels a little more like karmic justice. If it's not her I usually just kill Brisby and then the lady.

She was Burrow's mistress, of course she knew what she was doing.
Any way, no need to feel bad for her.
She probably lived happily ever after with that pathetic adoring creep wrapped around her finger.
