I deleted EVERYTHING.
people getting this error in dishonored were only from either pirated games, or because they were missing some configuration files (DefaultEngine.ini and BaseEngine.ini in the games folder). it coooould be an anti piracy measure as well but i dont know
hopefully those logs say something useful
just search for dishonored in C:\Users in case its somewhere else. if its not there then i guess i could upload a folder with it once i get home. maybe the game is unable to create that folder and thats why its failing to start
i dont have it installed on C either and it works fine :p if it was such a thing im sure thered be more posts about it as well but who knows
i can also try renaming it and checking if the game still works. ill be home in like 2 hours
C:\Program Files(x86)\Steam\.......\config folder, not in My Documents. I'm just thinking that, when installing it on the D: drive, the game may have trouble finding it thereby forcing the game to quit. (As an example, when installing Thief 4 to the D: drive, there have been audio problems reported that are fixed when reinstalling to the C: drive)
It might be worth the effort to free up the space on your C: drive and try installing the game there. If you haven't done it for a while, defragment the C: drive first. That will help frree up some space, then start removing old programs and deleting unnecessary files, or transfer some stuff from C: to D:. All in all, I'd make sure to have about 14GB available for the game install.
I will try re-installing it to C again, however, my main steam folder is on D, so I would install the game under SteamLibrary. Just making sure that it doesnt need the steamapps folder.
