Taking Down Crowds of Two or More
I just realized that a number of my "discovered bodies" (or whatever it's called) were probably people I shot with the tranquilizer darts, because I could find no other way to take on a certain group. Obviously, if you shoot someone with a tranquilizer, the surrounding enemies instantly "discover" him.

Part of the design may contain groups of people you simply have to avoid—I don't know. But that's why I'm asking, because I simply do not want to spend another day on a mission, only to find out at the very end I failed to achieve my goals.

While that may reflect real life experiences, bear in mind we are playing a video game as a magical, teleporting ninja. Not entirely realistic to begin with.

Oh, yeah—so how do you take down a small crowd without anyone being "discovered?"

I had this problem in KoD while rescueing my assassins. What worked for me was hiding and making some noise, just hitting the wall with my blade. This usually at least made them turn around and sometimes walk towards it, without being alerted.

If all of them walk in a certain direction I teleport behind the last one and kill them one by one. Shadow kill makes it a little easier sometimes.

In the interagation room the one with the bright light and bookshelves, they can all be taken out one at a time, but its a crap shoot as to how fast they turn around. Just watch your shadows

I thought it pointless to distract with a thrown bottle, because all the enemies did was turn for a second, then go back to guarding the man they had locked up in a shed. I had hoped at least one would walk off enough for me to get the other. Did I not throw the bottle far enough?

Same for the guys tossing bodies off the bridge. Sure, I could ignore them, but in my role-playing zeal, I needed to put everyone to sleep. Sleep darts won't do it, because hitting one instantly alerts the other two.

I've read of players unable to avoid "bodies discovered" when using sleep darts, even after stopping time, itself. I'm questioning their effectiveness.

Do dogs instantly "discover" the master you tranquilizem, as well?

It is possible to get bodies discovered, and still get 0 alerts. It just dosn't look as pretty in the stats

And that's what cost me an entire day of role-playing. Except mine was worse, with one dead (no idea how) and 9 bodies discovered. I was stunned.

Is there an achievement for never having a body discovered, ever? Didn't see it in the IGN listing. I guess I'm trying to figure out what it actually counts for or against. At this point, I have to wonder if it's something you can realistically expect to control.

It really only counts for or against one's OCD. I've heard it affects chaos slightly, but I'm not sure by how much or if that's true for sure. It's not gonna be enough to matter unless you're really walking the line anyway. You can deal with it, but I've always found it to be far more tedious than it's worth, since the game won't acknowledge it beyond the end-level counter.

Yeah. I'm going to try one more time, throwing more bottles, trying to be a bit more creative. Unless I play as a killer at some later date, I won't replay the mission. Simply, I have over 100 games in my Library I've yet to touch—not just this one.

And then there's Real Life....

Playing as killer actually makes the body problem way easier, since you can take advantage of shadow kill. Even on larger crowds, you can crossbow someone from a distance, they vanish and then everone else will spread out to look for you.

It also gets much easier mid-game when you can fully upgrade posession and use that to pull people out of crowds.

Until then, yeah, just keep tossing teacups.

If you can actually hit the target with the bottle, moving out of sight just as you release, there's a good chance no one will see you AND that they will leave their posts to look for you.

The guys tossing bodies? I hit the supervisor with a wine bottle, then choked him out when he ran down to my location. The other two continued tossing bodies. I hit the far one with another bottle, which brought both my way. I was able to take them out one at a time.

The same trick seems to work on other groups. You just don't want anyone flashing red. The slightest glimpse of you reuins everything. It's always a gamble.

Time slow/stop is your best friend with taking out multiple ppl at once. You also need to look at direction that ppl are looking at and take them out in a specific order.

So you need to dart ppl who can see other's first - well, if your only using time slow this is true. If your using time slow and you dart someone in their vision they will be alerted, so you need to take them out first and then dart the other person.

IE the time you can save the 2 people after dealing with the high overseer (if you go via the side entrance to the backyard), you have 1 overseer standing behind the other... if you time-slow and dart the guy in the back and then the guy at the front, then you will not be detected and 0 bodies found. However, if you dart the front oversser 1st... you WILL alert the guy behind him.

If your using time stop (the 2nd upgrade), you can dart them all in whatever order you want, and it should get them all and no alert going off.

If you want to take out 3 ppl, you can always dart 2 of them, blink behind the 3rd and choke them... I have done this and done it without alerting them, and getting 0 bodies found as well (all methods metioned here should get you 0 bodies found)
