Just thought about something *spoilers*

when you assassinate the lord regent you go back were they posin you. you dont have your mask on becuase you are at the hounds pits. you get sent off to the flooded district. if samual for some reason put your mask on you, then daud or his assassins should have taken it off. when you play the dlc you see that corvo is wearing the mask when he kills or spares daud. he puts his mask on when you wake up in the assassins jail. why does corvo have his mask, everyone knows its him? they took all his other equipment away. why did they let him have it? just something i thought about when i was replaying.

You said it yourself. Everyone knows it's him. Doesn't matter whether he has it or not. He already spent six months in prison until the day before his scheduled execution (pretty damn slow for a semi-monarchy in an industrial revolution but whatever), and everyone knows it was him who escaped. The mask is a trademark, Daud doesn't care, and by this point everyone knows he's the "masked felon" even if no one ever saw him with it, thanks to has-no-♥♥♥♥.

The real question is why didn't Corvo notice the difference in the colors of the drinks?

I think it's not so much "knowing" it's Corvo, rather being able to associate Corvo with the mask as evidence they are both one and the same, for the reward. Since everyone also "knows" Corvo was framed for the Empresses murder, and Emily's abduction. With out the mask people would think Corvo is just being stitched up for the works as a convenient stooge. Samuel would pack along the mask as part of Corvo's gear. Daud would want the mask with Corvo for the 30,000 coin reward. If that makes sense to you?

OHH I GET IT. that does make sense thank you. still seems a little dumb. daud the master assassin who knows about the outsider and the marks on corvos hand put him in a dinky little hole with nothing but wood covering it. daud should know about his powers and anticipacte him trying to escape. if i was daud i would have a music box on him at all times or restrain him better.

Daud does know about Corvo's powers, but he doesn't know how they differ from his. The only ones they seem to share are Blink, Dark Vision/Void Gaze, and Bend Time. He knows Blink is stopped by solid matter.

Daud says he "knows" about the Outsider's mark on Corvo's hand and what it means but, Daud is never made aware of Corvo's actual powers. Heck, they could be anything from Blink1 to whatever selection you spent runes on/ or not. :D
