Dishonored
Manual saving = useless
Cleared all of my autosaves (because i'm ocd like that) then saved manually at the entrance wiskey distillery to attempt to stealth, i screw up and try to re load my old save, and it doesnt show up in the list. At first i was like "well maybe if i kill myself i can just revert to the last save from there" so i let myself get burned to death by the mass of thugs and, guess what? It wouldnt let me go back to my last save. So for a second time i have to start the ENTIRE game over again. (which was a good two hours) And when i get back to the main menu, i cant even go back to the first mission, even though it shows my stats for it as if i had already completed it. So now i cant do ♥♥♥♥ other than uninstall the game and leave it for a few weeks until i find the patience to go back through it.

I have never had trouble with manual saves in Dishonored, and I have not found anyone else with such trouble, either. I'm sorry you lost progress, but I'm pretty sure the cause is user error.

I haven't ever had this issue, either. I would leave the autosaves alone. I don't think there is any reason to need to clean them up. I just ignore them and use Quicksave along with manual saves along the way.

quicksave when out of danger, or before and after a battle or a quest...

OCD has nothing to do with your problem, lesson learned move on...

Some autosaves are the mission start,so if you delete one it erases your progress and revert you to the previous mission start,if you erase them all you go back to the very game beginning.
