Ghost Achievement
I'm stuck at the Flooded District.
Should I kill Daud? Is he a key target?
Also, how do I get pass the Granny Rags and Slackjaw part without killing either? (I have no bend time ability also going flesh and steel).

Well... You only choke the bloke out =P It's easy.. just give it a few min to understand how to do it =P Also.. If you don't kill anyone Granny vs Slackjaw will be easy you see =P (I did a Ghost, SHadow, Clean Hands and Mostly Flesh & Steel and it all worked out fine... but Daud was kinda the "hardest" one =P Had to think a min to figure out how to do it :] Gl hf :D

Yes, Daud is a key target but, it's easier to choke him out or just pick his pocket and not do anything to him at all ...completing the "Leave Daud a Message" objective.

There are basically, four ways of dealing with Granny, in the Flooded District.
  1. Defeat Granny by burning the cameo. If you're careful, this method isn't that hard to accomplish. Simply avoid being detected by Granny after burning her cameo in the furnace then, after she starts blinking around the outside area, subdue her non-lethally. If done correctly, you can escape the area with 0 kills and 0 detections, plus you get Slackjaw's 500 coin reward as well.
  2. Help Slackjaw defeat Granny. Steal the key and release Slackjaw to fight Granny. For this method to be successful, a number of factors have to be right. First, you have to steal the key from Granny otherwise, you can't release Slackjaw. Once he is then free to fight Granny you can stand by and just watch. But, he can never defeat her unless you burn the cameo in the furnace, first. Once that's done, he will spit whiskey at her and slash at her with his sword until she's dead. To avoid rats, you can move around quietly, either crouched or with Boot Stealth, and not be detected by Granny. This method should result in no kills, no detections plus Slackjaw's 500 coin reward. It's also the most entertaining way to deal with the situation. However, Slackjaw doesn't always win the fight.
  3. Steal the key from Granny and run (or blink, to avoid being heard by Granny). This is the easiest and safest way to deal with the situation without detections or kills although, you won't get the 500 coin reward from Slackjaw.
  4. Help Granny. Note*: Both variations of this method will result in a kill.
  • Help Granny prepare Slackjaw for her stew and place him in the tub. Obviously, that's a kill.
  • Offer to help Granny but, just sleep-dart Slackjaw. After she gives you the key, simply run or blink away. You can carry him away or leave him in his bindings but, no matter where you leave Slackjaw's unconscious body, after you've gone, Granny kills him and, because you left him where Granny could find him, you're then charged with a kill.

I managed to avoid the whole Granny Rags fight by not talking to her at all the first time. I think that screwed my chances of getting the Ghost achievement because I went through the whole game without killing anyone but key targets and yet the only achievement I got was Shadow. I wonder if that also includes killing Cpt. Curnow...

Avoiding the Granny fight by not talking to her in mission 2, has no affect of the Ghost achievement. In fact, it's a recommended choice, just for that reason.

When you don't get Ghost it means you were charged with a kill (other than a key target) somewhere. An often overlooked possibility is, in the inter-mission following mission 2, where you go into the sewers beneath the Hound Pits pub and find two weepers. Even though there isn't an end-of-mission stats screen for this segement, if either of those two weepers dies, or if one of them detects you, that will negate the Ghost achievement. No, they are not key targets.

Also, if you're gonna play again to get Ghost, when you complete each and every mission, be sure your end-of-mission statistics shows the check boxes for "Didn't Kill Anyone" and "Ghost(Never Detected)" are both checked. If not, replay the mission before continuing on with the game.

I'm picking my brain over what could have possibly been an unnecessary kill. Thinking back, I'm likely not gonna place Overseers on the lights in the High Overseer's office anymore, as they tend to slide off when I place them down (more like throw them down when I press F to drop them). Either that, or I somehow got credited with a kill on a Wolfhound as a hostile when they shouldn't be. It makes the most sense. Remember, the achievement says you can't kill anyone outside of the key targets, and I've killed every key target on my playthrough, and gotten Ghost checked off after every mission (which is how I got the Shadow achievement).

What did you do with the weepers under the Hound Pits pub? If you sleep-dart them one often falls into the water, drowning and causing you to be charged with a kill.

Don't confuse Ghost in the mission stats with the Ghost achievement. When you have "Ghost (Never Detected)" checked, that only means you didn't alert anyone, which is the sole requirement for Shadow but is only part of the Ghost achievement conditions. The other part, as you know, is not to kill anyone who is not a key target. If you kill or cause the death of anyone else, Ghost becomes locked. Wolfhounds, while able to cause a detection, never count as a kill. I doubt that was the reason for you not getting the trophy.

So, there are about a dozen ways to be charged with an unintentional death. Although some are due to close combat situations, a few are of concern when attempting a Clean Hands, Ghost or Shadow achievement playthrough. Generally, unconscious bodies are the biggest problem. Be careful of where your victim is. Don't sleep-dart them or leave them where they might fall off a ledge or into water. Just make sure they're stable before to leave them somewhere. Stable and "unconscious". And, most important, for all missions, other than those with killable "key targets", make certain BOTH "Ghost(Never Detected)" AND "Didn't Kill Anyone" have their boxes checked. Those would be missions 1, 4, 8 and 9. For missions WITH "key targets", make sure there are no EXTRA kills for "Hostiles Killed".

I'm aware of the reqs for the Ghost Achievement. Both Weepers under the pub fell straight down. I think an Overseer fell off the lights when I quick-loaded a game once. That might have done it because I was credited with 2 hostile kills after escaping from the High Overseer's office.
