Dishonored
Question About "House of Pleasure" Mission
So I haven't gotten into the mission much, but when I was going towards the stairs at very start of mission, I noticed a bunch of guys running towards the end of the bridge above me and something shooting at them, very likely killing them. The questions I have are these: I've gotten Ghost for all the earlier stuff and my chaos is still at "Low." Is this happening to anyone else? And if I ignore this commotion and play through the mission normally (with Ghost and Clean Hands), like I have been, will I be penalized for those deaths at beginning? Please help :steamsad:

Those deaths at the start are scripted - and you have nothing to do with them (and therefore you won't be penalised at all).

It happens to everyone, doesn't matter if your chaos status beforehand was "high" or "low".

So it won't influence my Ghost and Clean Hands stuff?

yeah as Bandi said the Weepers that run across that bridge are Scripted to die and they're there no matter what kind of playthrough you're doing

Nope.

Okay, thank you. One last question: I've been kinda wanting to go crazy and kill but if I want to get the Ghost and Clean Hands stuff, can I just replay the mission and overwrite that reckless run?

yeah you can just replay that Mission (as long as you didn't hit Continue) otherwise you'll have to start all the way back at the Prison

Not 100% sure but you can always reload an older save which you didn't go rampage on.

If I get bored doing stealth I press F5 (quick save) and when I get bored of the bloodshed I press F9 (loading the quick save).

if he gets to the end mission screen he can reset it that way and reloading a save can help you with Clean Hands and Ghost i accidently killed one of the Butchers in the Knife of Dunwall when i reloaded my last save and went through the mission i got 0 kills and Ghost
Edit: oh and OP don't worry about Bodies they do not affect Ghost at all

That scripted event is only there to bring your attention to the Watch Tower and it's deadly power. As you may have already found out, the Watch Tower can lock on to you if it sees you. That, by itself does not mean you've been detected but, it will instantly bring your position to the attention of any guards in the area, who can then detect you.

Well ... you CAN replay the mission, even if you hit Continue by mistake. As you ride back with Samuel, press Esc and from the menu, select LOAD GAME. In the list of games, find the mission you just did that has "Mission -" in front of the title (check the time/date stamp). Select that and it will start the mission over again at the very beginning.

Just remember, to get Clean Hands or Ghost achievements, you have to do your entire game in one contiguous playthrough. In other words, if at the end of the game, you didn't get the achievements, you can't just go back and replay one mission only. That will not fix it. You'll have to go back and replay the mission in question and continue from there, playing all remaining missions in sequence, to the end.

There's actually a small difference depending on chaos. The higher chaos is, the more weepers come running over the bridge. With a minimum of about half a dozen if you haven't done a single action that raises chaos, and about two-three dozen in waves if you've gone completly hogwild.

Tiny, tiny difference, I know, but thought I'd mention it.

My experience has been more consistant. Whether I'm in a super-high chaos run or in absolute low chaos, the number of weepers is always 10. 4 in the first group, 4 in the next and 2 that follow up. Depending on how quickly the watch tower spots them, it can be easy to miss a couple of them but, there always seems to be 10, in all the times I've checked it. This leads me to conclude that this event is scripted the same, regardless of chaos.

Edit: I should mention, when I was testing this, I was perched on a pipe looking towards the bridge. If you move quickly from the boat to underneath the bridge, fewer weepers will spawn. Passing under the bridge stops the remainder from spawning.

I've heard a few times that when a guard goes to fight them they end up getting killed by the tower which i always find funny though it's kind counteracted when the game trys to go oh this is suppose to be night time yet it's broad ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ daylight out.
