did someone patch covid masks on the guards in this thing?

i dont remember so many guards wearing masks its bugging me i have to kill every one with a knife

Nothing to do with Covid, there haven't been patches to this game in years AFAIK. There is a plague going on in Dunwall after all, a good number of guards wear masks and it varies by playthrough.

i mean similarly but not so similar is the rat plague happening at the time so cloth made masks were worn
