Mostly Flesh and Steel question

So I just completed a brand new High Chaos run and decided to do so alongside Mostly Flesh and Steel ... the thing is I did not unlock the achievement for some reason? I never used a single rune, never purchased any skill nor upgrade.

Are we not allowed to use Blink at all, in addition to not upgrading it? Am I not supposed to use any of the blueprints? Are bonecharms safe to use?

I can't think of any other reason why I wouldn't be awarded the achievement, aside from it bugging out?

You can NOT upgrade Blink 1 to Blink 2. You can use bonecharms, but don't remember if you can buy upgrades (I think so, but not sure). You can still use Blink 1.

I never upgraded Blink. I didn't touch Blink at all, I didn't spend any Runes at all. :(

But you got the achivement 'Mostly Flesh and Steel'. So I don't get why you said you don't have it. :/

LMAO I was still ingame and it didn't pop up? and checking my achievements while still ingame it didn't actually show as having it.

After my most recent playthrough, I had 4 achievements pop at once, including Mostly Flesh and Steal. It's possible you just missed that it popped. Also, if you keep your achievement page open then you'll have to refresh it manually as it won't do so automatically. I forget this sometimes and get mad about it, and then have a blushingly "oh yeah, oops". I'll often keep my achievement page open with a guide alongside it.

For my MFaS run, I decided to play it safe and not upgrade anything at all, including equipment. I did, however, turn in blueprints, which did not interfere with anything. I just never paid to upgrade gear. It was during a Ghost run, so it's not like I needed any equipment anyway. And, like you said, you can still use Blink, just can't upgrade it. The reason I turned in the blueprints is so I could load a previous save to finish out some achievements involving kills, and a few other things.

Just FYI, for the MFaS achievement, powers/enhancements that have to be purchased with runes are the only restriction. Bone Charms can be used and all other upgrades are permitted. So, just don't spend any runes and you'll get the trophy.
