if daud dies do his assassin's lose their powers
according to the knife of dunwall his assassin's get their powers from his mark.

They don't lose their powers immediately (they are still blinking around after you kill Daud, I have checked this in-game) but according to the lore I have heard they lose them eventually.

Kinda funny when you think about it. Daud was expecting one of his own assassins to kill and succeed him... but they'll eventually lose their powers if any of them do so. Not unless that successor interests the Outsider enough that he'll give them his mark.

Kinda funny when you think about it. Daud was expecting one of his own assassins to kill and succeed him... but they'll eventually lose their powers if any of them do so. Not unless that successor interests the Outsider enough that he'll give them his mark.
yea although that is great for daud because it means he can't really be succeeded

Billie is Daud's succesor, isn't she?

That is why she initially betrayed him in Knife of Dunwall, she thought he was getting weak and wanted to succeed him. However, she doesn't actually succeed him ever as the leader of the Whalers.

Except there's Corvo... someone who DOES have the mark and could very easily do what the assassin's couldn't hence why he said he was expecting on of his OWN to kill him not Corvo to be the one to do that.
