Configuration file location?

A site told me 2 different locations. Which one is the right one?:

1. %USERPROFILE%\Documents\My Games\Dishonored\DishonoredGame\
or
2. <Steam-folder>\userdata\<user-id>\205100\remote\options.sav ?

The right one for what? They didn't just list both paths to ♥♥♥♥ with you, they're both correct and lead to different configuration files.
Options.sav is mostly for settings you normally apply in the game menu, the various .ini files are for everything else.

I don't get why you wouldn't just go to both paths to find out where you do whatever you want to do, it's not exactly rocket science.. Seems like a waste of time to ask here.

I fully answered your question, even beyond what you could have been expecting. It's your question that was lacking. If you provided any kind of information about what you wanted to accomplish I'd be happy to give you a detailed rundown on how you'd best go about that. I'm a nice guy like that.

I'm not bothered by your question, I'm telling you that you should be. Ask the right questions, get the right answers. Ask stupid questions, and you're gonna get sassy answers that may or may not miss the point of what you wanted to learn about.

Pafti is right, they're different config files for different things. They're both correct.

I'd suggest trying to find the option/setting that you're looking for in one of them and then trying the other if you can't find it. (Remember that Ctrl+F is definitely your friend)

I was looking for the file containing my Setup-Settings like key-bindings and so on. That must be the options.sav.

I was confused, because it is the first time a config file has an ending of a savegame.
