Game Settings not saving when using controller

When using a controller, none of my settings will save, so on every reload, I get the default FOV and graphics and audio settings, which is frustrating. Somehow when using the keyboard and mouse it saves the settings just fine, but it seems to have different sets of settings for keyboard and controller. Has anyone figured out how to fix this?

That's not a fix, it doesn't allow analog movement.

I have no idea how to fix your problem
But in case you did Not See IT there is this Button called "search bar" maybe you can find Something Helping you Using it

That's incredibly unhelpful. It doesn't fix the problem at all. It's a very poor workaround that doesn't solve anything.

I remember that I had a similar problem in Fallout 4 so I'll see if I can find how I managed to fix it. I'll get back to you soon

Really sorry but I think the reason mine wasn't working properly was I was trying to do it through the .ini files and they had the wrong permissions. You can try that if you want but I doubt that it will work.

Sorry, your problem confuses me.
What is stopping you from setting up with keyboard and mouse, while the controller is plugged in, and picking up said controller once you're in game?
Does it just always reset simply because a controller is plugged in?

Yeah basically you can set the settings with a keyboard/mouse but when you go back to the controller it reloads the default settings. The game doesn't really allow controller hotplugging, you have to press a button on the controller in the main menu when it says "press any key" to use it or you have to use the keyboard.

Wow, thanks that did it. It installed some DirectX stuff and now it works fine even without admin mode.
