Should I buy the DLCs?
Looking to buy the game since it's on sale, don't know much about it but I'm wondering if l should get the DLCs? What do you guys recommend ?
Thanks in advance

The Story DLCs (The Knife of Dunwall & The Brigmore Witches), are excellent and are worth the price in no uncertain terms. Void walker's arsenal is collection of the original pre-order bonuses and just adds some extra coin, in-game books (extra lore) and extends you ability to equip passive buffs you will find in the game plus several of those buffs from the second mission on. IIRC VWA is the cheapest of the DLCs so dropping it won't save much from the price and you don't have to pick up the various things when they show up in game. Dunwall City Trials are a set of challenges that are intended to give you more experience in using the game`s mechanics, they can be very fun or very frustrating (and the DCT achievements are the hardest in the game overall). If you want a different perspective on the game`s story (and a lead in to the sequel) you will need to play KoD & TBW and if you want to go for 100% of the achievements you will need DCT.

I'll put in another plug for the story DLC (knife of Dunwall and Brigmore Witches). If you end up liking the main game, you'll almost certainly want it. It really fills in the story and the new levels and modified kit of abilities are a lot of fun.

Looks like individual pricing puts the story content at $8.50 if you buy all the pieces individually on sale, and this game goes on sale all the time, so if you did wanna try the current game ($2.49 is a damn steal) and wait to see if you want more it wouldn't be the worst call.

The other loose ends: void walker arsenal, which I tend to keep turned off even though I have it, for pretentious ~immersion~ reasons. The stuff you get is useful but not at all necessary, like rod66 up there said, it's mostly a collection of minor passive buff items.

Dunwall City trials is a bunch of challenge missions. not my thing, but a lot of people seem to enjoy them, so might be worth checking out if you're the type for it.

if ALL of that sounds interesting to you, go ahead and get the definitive, even altogether it's not that much these days.

Yup they're all fun. The story dlc is absolutely vital to understand what's going on and get more lore behind the story, and the Trials part is just stupidly fun shooting and sneaking.

I agree with what rod66 comments were.... as well as the the others, too. I will add this, make sure you like the storyline before you buy any game. I like the game and the DLC's and you can make the game as challenging as you wish it to be .

The story based DLCs alone are almost worth a short sequel in my opinion. Plus they are crucial to the storyline, so absolutely. The City Trials are fun too. Just get them all, they are worth it.

That's because you have less than one hour on the game. Play more.
