How do I play in ultrawide / 21:9?

My primary monitor is ultrawide. None of the options within the game seem to support anything other better than 1080p. How can I set it to ultrawide? Is there a setting elsewhere or a patch? I see all kinds of pics floating around the interwebs of 2560x1080 gameplay

Simple, just take a 1920x1080 monitor, start up the game, and then pull the monitor apart with your hands and stretch it to be 2560x1080.

It worked for me, but playing with a black screen is difficult. I think this solution screws with your brightness a whole lot.

I play it in 2560x1080 completely fine. It just shows up as a resolution option.

you clearly have never played a game in 21:9

Except that the texture quality in Dishonored 1 is rather crap. Partly due to the art style, but also due to the age of the game these days. I too would recommend not playing that large for this specific game.

I mean, if you love ultra-ultra-wide FOV or whatever, go to town but... ugh.

21:9 just allows you to see more on the sides, doesn't make it look worse or anything
