I didn't play Dishonored a while, so i forgot if i can or can not kill the bosses and get the achievment.

Can't kill anyone. There is a way to non lethally take out everyone though. Be careful not to leave unconcious bodies anywhere rats can get them.

So far i didn't kill anyone, and i put bodies mostly on an elevated surface, i.e. table, shelf, crates etc..

Well, thanks for the reply you two :)

That doesn't count as a kill. Don't be ignorant.

While we're on this subject, what about the Torturer?
It's a side quest, and i did make him go unconcious and left him there, it didn't count.
It does say KILL in the quest though.

An analogy is that that is a lot like going for an absolute Low Chaos completionist ending. It's just about impossible. (In this case, you either kill the Torturer and ruin a no-kill playthrough or don't kill him and maintain your Stealth and no-kill standing.) By completionist, that means collecting all coins, every Rune, and every Bone Charm -- while not gaining an ounce of elevated Chaos in the whole game. Well, if you want the second Rune from Grannyrags in the second mission, you'll need to poison the still with the diseased rat viscera. It won't raise your Chaos enough to say anything but Low Chaos on the mission scoreboard at the end but it will raise your Chaos enough to violate a Low Chaos playthrough and you'll have weepers in the Distillery in the next mission.

But to directly answer your question, then NO, you cannot kill him. The only kills that don't count at all in the whole game are ones you did not somehow perpetrate. Guard walks into a pack of naturally-existing rats and gets eaten. Not your fault. Summon the rats with Rat Swarm. Your fault. Person gets killed by a guard as a scripted event. Not your fault. Guard walks onto a trap you've set and gets hacked into a dozen pieces or vaporized. Damn right, it's your fault. Get it?

Well, i did plan to be bloodthirsty in my second playhrought anyways :P

Although, with bosses/targets, i do kill them, then i load the save file,
and then i eliminate them non-lethaly, and so i get 2 achievments for 1 playthrough ^^

Hey, if it works for you, good on ye. I actually wish I had the in-game patience to do all that. But I've always been a strictly no-kill/stealth kind of player -- to the point of jumping back 10 or 20 minutes to the last Quicksave when I screw up just because I forgot to save in between. It kind of harkens back to the old original Splinter Cell games where one alarm meant you were reloading that chapter no matter how many times it took!!

Unconscious bodies being eaten (killed) by a naturally occurring rat swarm does not count as a kill against you.

I don't mean to sound contrary but, no it didn't. I've tested this countless times, in all possible situations and have even made a video to prove it. If you were charged with a kill, it was for some other reason. Be aware that there are more than a dozen ways for an unintentional death to be charged against you. Naturally occurring rats swarms is not one of them. If however, the rat swarm was from summoning a Devouring Swarm, that WILL be charged as a kill against you.

Most quests tell you to assassinate, kill or eliminate the targets but, of course, you always have a non-lethal alternate available. You can complete the Torturer side quest by rendering him unconscious. The objective message (and Special Actions message) will read, "Defeated the Royal Interrogator", instead of "Killed the Royal Interrogator."

Don't know what's so amazing with stealth games, probably the good ol' hide and seek style, because we're adults and ''can't'' really play hide and seek so we play in in games...
And with more blood in some cases lol

Also, @cyberwiz97 it didn't count for me when i knocked him out, i tranquelized the dog and ''hugged'' the big guy so he doesn't die but still gets eliminated, i just picked up the Rune and some coins in the dish under the tortured fella, but the quest wasn't completed...

Hmmm. I don't know why it wasn't completed. Whether you kill him or choke him, either way it should complete the objective and you should see it under Special Actions, in the end of mission stats. Strange. :/

btw, you can kill the dogs without being charged with a kill at the end of the mission. And, it won't negate Clean Hands either.
