Knife Upgrades affect boss battles?
If I max out knife power will it affect the boss battle? i.e. will have less chances of repeating the steps? or it only affects normal mobs?

Theoretically it might make a slight difference when you knife the bosses paracite but i doubt its a significant noticeable amount.
Probably get better results shotting it with high powered guns instead

I appreciate the response, I also thought about that one as well, so does this mean I can just shoot them instead of coming forward to trigger the melee action?

Bosses have a damage threshold for when their stagger state goes away. For example Saddler I put a magnum round in his eyeball then stab him, because the Killer7 damage isn't enough to end the stagger state, so I get more damage that way. Experiment with it.
