Also I loathe the modern awful inaccurate reticles. Sure, I get why they are implemented. But I don't think they are usually implemented very well. And this game is one of the worst implementations of it.
Because inaccuracy is REALISTIC!
The first circle of hell if reserved for those who use realism as defence for frustrating mechanics
This, actually. I find that going for all the skulls to be too frustrating to let me enjoy the shooting gallery. But going for S rank? Not so bad. The reward system being random is eh, but giving duplicates? Absolutely not. I can't stand it
But at the same time, it's meant to be a fun bonus mode, not an essential part of the story or gameplay. So the (forced) randomness of the rewards makes sense. Otherwise, everyone would just reload their saves until they got what they wanted. And where's the mystery in that? Nowhere, that's where. It would just be a time sink. Unfortunately, people are just gonna have to accept they can't guarantee having every charm on the first run. By the 2nd run it should give at least 1 of everything.
Look up youtube videos for 6-star completions, they are impressive. I have learned from them and been able to get the hits even with TMP/Shotgun on the harder levels.
People complain about the bolt thrower but that's actually only a tiny bit of RNG. It's mostly learning the timing and the sink effect.
Well, some of the S-ranks are bad. Mostly not, I guess. If you can get to the bonus section that almost guarantees an S-rank. But yes, the skulls especially are truly awful a lot of the time. Most of them are easy, but there's often 1 or 2 that are hard purely because of RNG. Also that last challenge is just kinda terrible.
Don't think I'm ever playing this shooting gallery again after getting all the skulls, the final S-rank and all gachas. Well, for the gacha's I might resort to a cheat mod. I already put in so damn many coins and I still only have 2/3rd of the rewards. I'm assuming most of the ones I'm missing are rare ones as well. Might as well use a mod rather than play through the game 4-5 times and doing the stupid shooting range every time.
Shh you'll get the 'skill' egomaniacs riled up.
