Shooting Range Skulls
Having trouble with getting some skull. It seems the weapon accuracy struggles during these. For example, sometimes on 1-A the pistol will hit the skull or somehow hit the tiny space of the pirate's head. The very last one is almost impossible to hit seeing as well.

Pistol 1-A took me a few tries to get the very last skull on that small moving target =(
So much sway and low accuracy on that gun they give you.

After seeing that the rewards are mostly just charms which are very hit and miss/randomized I sort of lost a bit of interest in the shooting ranges altogether.
Not like you get loads of cash like in the original anymore, unless there's some super awesome rare charm that relies on RNG? :conwayshrug:

For some things that you'll only see when you open your inventory and have negligible stats it really wasn't that worth it getting all the checks for the range.

Not sure if Rare (labelled as "legendary" in-game, but might be "the legendary you always get no matter what" ^^ ) but I got a charm using three gold coins that reduces crafting costs by one black powder in every craft.
Pretty useful in hard mode, and I suppose you can stack three of those, althought by the time you get those three you might not need much ammo anyway ^^

I didn't check what bonuses are available yet, maybe there are better things than that, it's just what I got so far.

Oh damn, yeah charms like that seem nice.
I only played the little gacha thing once or twice after the first shooting range (Saved first thankfully) and got something super conditional like.. eating vipers restores 30% more HP.. :/

Maybe I'll take another look and see if I can get lucky.

I got a some common ones but the 3 rares I got were 2 Luis and one rocket Leon. The bonuses weren't really that worth it to me.

Looks like the rewards are randomly set in stone per savegame or something too..
Just reload spammed and got the exact same rewards every time I redeemed tokens about 10 times in a row.
Some lame +Resale value on Ammo and Vipers restore 40% more health :csd2sick: :csd2sick:

It was the third or fourth try for me, not sure.

I got 6 silver coins and 6 Gold coins for finishing the three first shooting series as soon as it was available, used 3 silver twice, got crap, used 3 Gold twice, got semi-crap (+20% chance for bonus crafted pistol ammo, kinda works with the other ^^ ) and that legendary.

Yes, I have crafted and used an awful lot of pistol bullets in my current playthrough ;)

I guess it was a pre-order bonus or something but I started with some 30% handgun ammo charm already. I guess they stack?

I'm actually abusing this crossbow's more-or-less unlimted ammo supply so I haven't needed or crafted bullets in a while - and I'm getting to the point where I wish we could store ammo in the Typeriter storage also.. :P

The shooting range sucks balls, not only for the challenges themselves but that the reward is pure RNG. I put three gold balls into that POS and it spat out a junk common charm. ♥♥♥♥ OFF! I'm just going to ignore these from now on. What would this be like on a gamepad, even?

For everything I like in this remake there's about two or three things they changed or added that are completely baffling.

+8% run speed is pretty good actually and frankly on PC it shouldn't be that hard for most. I don't know if it's actually RNG as far as the charms go but the ones I got were decent enough for the challenge.

Works well but took a while, its easy to miss the skulls. Just keep going and practice until you can do it - there is nothing people can help you with here really.

I needed alot of tries for the first handgun round, the second and third was much easier.

The rewards seem to be a random seed for every player, and you are stuck with potential junk as a crap shoot.

Next time you do a range and have a bunch of gold coins go save your game and see what you get; it'll be the same every time you reload.

I'm stuck with 40% more health from eating snakes and 40% more trade value when selling ammo. Pure crap. I googled some of the rewards and it'd be nice to be able to actually trade for these or if it was true RNG instead of being stuck with these bottom of the barrel charms. :steamsad:

There's quite a few changes in this remake that make entire parts of the game miserable
Unidentifieded Mar 24, 2023 @ 9:29pm
The SMG parts are just miserable for skull pops only, the penetration ones where the skulls are hiding behind a line of targets that aren't moving in a straight line towards you, can also be kinda iffy. at least the bonus section has a good BGM going for it.

The 1-A final skull was a pain to get due to tight timing and the delay on shoot the game has. In 1-C there is a skull behind the first enemy's barrel... break the barrel (not the head) to show it.
