Not all items can be stored, only weapons and certain specific items. Not a bug at all that's just how it's designed.
Game actually didn't even allow you to store guns till the second chapter.
Does anyone know if the auto-sorter for inventory is good or do I need to look up good inventory setups lol? By ch 3 I'm struggling to pick up stuff, but I probably don't need all these guns...
Use your ammo, craft more using your materials, and clean your inventory and get more HP by using your healing items ;)
If you can't pick up more, you need to shoot, heal and craft more, or sell, easy ^^
It's all good if that's the way it is, it just came off as a bug, not an intended mechanic.
EDIT . . . Yupp, just tested it, can't move over ammo either after you store a weapon
It's not a dumb design decision at all. It's a perfectly logical one. The entire game is designed around it's inventory system, allowing a system to completely circumvent that would be a dumb design choice.
