No DualSense Features... Again
WTF is going on in 2023?! Literally every game before 2023 that has had Dualsense controller features on PS5 has also had the same features on the PC versions of the game. EVERY. SINGLE. GAME.

But now for some reason in 2023, Deadspace, Hogwarts Legacy, and now RE4 have made the Dualsense features exclusive to the PS5 version. To be clear, the PC versions of these games have full PS5 controller support built in, but the Dualsense features such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers have been disabled.

I played the PS5 RE4 demo and the Dualsense features feel pretty great. Checked the PC version and of course they aren't there. It sucks being forced to choose between the Dualsense features on PS5, or smoother fps and better graphics on my far superior PC.

Has Sony changed their policies regarding Dualsense this year or are devs just getting lazy?

Honestly i feel the same.

I thought it would be amazing, especially for racing but at the end it was more annoying than anything else.

That is your opinion and that's ok. But I'm gonna have to to disagree with you. The PS5 demo felt pretty good when you can feel every footstep you take. Feel the recoil of every shot you take. The feeling when you knife something and the trigger bounces back as the knife impacts. And it doesn't matter if the features suck or not. I'm curious why they are being withheld from the PC version.

There are a bunch of games where the Dualsense features do suck. But this is one where they feel pretty good. Not saying you should buy a PS5 for them, or buy the PS5 version of the game. But if you already have one, i'd recommend trying the PS5 demo.

That's a shame...
DualSense Features are amazing when devs knows how to use them, Returnal is the best example.
I own a PS5 and since the first day when i tried Astro's Playroom, i knew the Dualsense was a little revolution for my gaming experience. I didn't use my xboxone controller since then, i even use the Dualsense with DS4 on PC with none compatible games.
Hopefully Capcom will add those features with a patch but if not present in full release, it smells bad..
If it's Sony saying "don't add Dualsense features so they will buy this multiplatform game on our PS5" i think it's just dumb.
Like with the PSVR2 not compatible with PC, ridiculous.
I would gladly spend 600€ if i cloud use it on my PC and also buy some exclusiv PS5 games like Call of the mountain but since its PS5 only i will probably never buy it.

Its sucks sure and i see no reason for it not supporting it. But like others sad dualsense kinda feels gimmicky and from people who bought ps5 when it was hard to get they talked about dualsense like it second comming :D in reality idk still prefer using xbox
Tho yeah idk why its not supported

Because it's Sony. They don't want psvr2 used on pc. They money hat japanese devs to not come to Xbox.

And dual sense is the only unique thing about them. Guarantee you they pay to keep some games on pc from having them.

Yeah, it's very disappointing. After playing A Plague Tale: Requiem, basic rumble feels archaic. Adaptive triggers are a hit or miss, but the haptics are the best in any controller.

That makes no sense when their own games on PC have those features, it is simply just laziness from the developers.

You must have a different PS5 to me, a magical one because it's nothing like you described.

It's because they're losing like $300 on each headset, 2 120Htz HDR OLED displays for $500 , if you want to be subsidised like that you need to buy into their ecosystem.

Not just sit there with your hands out.

if you have a ps5 then why are you playing it on steam?

I was just testing the PS5 version to see if it had any DualSense features at all, and it does.
The PC version seems well optimized so I might still be going PC on this one.
I did however get Hogwarts Legacy on PS5, both due to the lack of DualSense on PC, and it’s overall ♥♥♥♥♥♥ optimization.
North_Dumpling Mar 22, 2023 @ 4:26am
Its probably because Sony pays the developers to use their own team to optimize certain games for PS5 and include Dualsense features, hence its not present on PC.
While games from Sony coming out on PC always have these features, they simply have no interest in giving dualsense features on PC to games that they had no relation to.

Mate, Dual Sense features are a thing for PS5 only. It's literally one of the reasons it would FORCE you to buy a PS5/ They may make the DS5 work on PC but the features will be disabled. And the PC version of a game usually is based off the XBOX one, so too bad.

I did got a Xbox Controller and I'm mad because Microsoft didn't implement anything on WINDOWS to make it possible to see when the battery is fully charged! You need to buy a Microsoft Original Dongle for that, that's like, another battery pack just to check the battery level.

The bull comes on every single company, being Sony or Microsoft, PC users usually are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up in the proccess.
