Why must they change the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Voice Actors.

Why does Crap-com insist on changing the Voice Actors for the games that are so ingrained in the players minds as having specific voices for all of the characters, like honestly, none of the original voice actors are in the remake, this pisses me off to a whole new level. if it was a NEW game then fine, yeah, let a voice actor get their shot at becoming a bigger actor. but just from the trailer they changed WAY too much. ALL of the VA's are new, the look of ALL of the main characters are much different than the original (and yes i understand that this is a remake and some things change, but Leon doesn't look like Original Leon from RE4, Ashley looks like a 45 year old soccer mom with 4 kids, Luis looks like a random ass Caucasian man, Salazar looks like Margaret thatcher has been excavated from her "forever box" and stuck strung up like a puppet while some old guy speaks for her, and i have yet to see any of the other characters aside from "the big cheese" who actually looks pretty close to the original except with maybe a fuller beard.

AND on top of that the VA for Leon sounds like an 18 year old who played the game once and is doing a crappy impersonation of Leon, Ashley sounds like aforementioned soccer mom that they found on the street, and as i said before Salazar sound like some random dad that they found outside of a bar, and from what I've heard of saddler's voice, he sounds like they guy that's voicing Salazar' estranged brother from a secret family their dad had at one point.

I know this sounds very nit-picky but honestly imagine they took your favorite TV series or movie and literally just changed the actors who played the characters but kept everything else the same...You'd be rightly pissed off at the producers of the show.

well this is me but with THIS remake. and honestly if they released an option to change to the original voice actors i would be OKAY with the game mostly, but i still hate the way they made the characters look.

Obviously I like Paul Mercer as Leon. He's my most preferred out of any voice for Leon. Krauser, Ada, Salazar, and Saddler were all quite good too.

But ashley's voice was annoying, high pitched, and sounded more like Sandy Cheeks. Best thing you could say about the performance is she sounded like a squealy teenager instead of sounding like a squealy kid... even though the character was supposed to be 20 and in college. So whoever the ADR director who made that choice is a tool. Or that's just an artefact of Ashley's age changing later in development. Either way, not so award worthy. And I don't know if the Spanish lines from the villagers were anything to write home about in the original either. They didn't really have accents from Spain even if they spoke Spanish well enough.

Imo Ashley is supposed (and intended) to be an annoying character in OG. It was part of the charm for me. When it comes to that part, OG beats remake by quite a large bit for me. Spanish sure, i heard they only had latin american voice actors to choose from, as no spanish ones were found at the time.

I honestly prefer him as Wesker as well. But he broke NDA with Capcom in the past. Like, intentionally broke it. Accidental NDA breaches can still be recovered from.

From what I hear, it's his own fault. Don't know how much of it is true, but supposedly there's the thing with him grooming a minor, and also leaking a concept art for Wesker like 2-3 years ago.

If these things did happen, everyone can say goodbye to his Wesker role forever.

It's because honestly as jarring as his va was, the story and voice still kinda...worked.... but ada's VA takes the cake on literally tearing people out of the game for how poor it was to such a degree that it makes everyone else performance look like they at least gave a ♥♥♥♥ during.

Yeah that's what i'm saying. It's fair to dislike the pick but ultimately it's an miniscule issue. There could be an argument made if narrative was key in re4 but that's not the case.

I honestly think blooper is a good pick for the sh2 remake, ther prior games give a good idea that they can do a silent hill game well but yes, I admit they have a big one on ther hands here for sure.
