Why is this single player game has an Anti cheat?
Something I have noticed when I wanted to do some modding to recolor some weapons like making the punisher all black to resemble the real FN 5-7, etc I have noticed the game actually has an anti cheat... My question is why? I dont see this game has any sort of coop, or any sort of multiplayer element, I mean my first guess was MAYBE the mercenaries will have some kind of coop-ish elements? but then that was as well a solo mode, all I can imagine the reason was to release the microtransactions things.. still why though?

Okay. Anti-Cheat is an actual software that is used to prevent people from cheating. When you boot a game that has one of these, you actually have a pop-up window of that software that appears to set it up.
Elden Ring is a perfect example of it.

RE4R does not have anti-cheat softwares at all.

You won't notice it unless you attempt to mod your game.

Once again, anti-cheat softwares always boot on the game's start up lmfao. The mods and trainers require the user of the RE-Framework mod. Its not anti-cheat. Its just how the files has to be made to work. Its not something new with mods lmfao.
And the most commonly used anti-cheat is called Easy Anti-Cheat. There is also the VAC(Valve Anti-Cheat) and its not used here.
Just because you personally want to believe it has anti-cheat, doesn't mean it has it.
There comes a time when you need to stop wanting to be right when we are a bunch of different people that tells you there is no anti-cheat.

Nah, the games do technically have something I would rather call "cheat prevention", at least I recall it being a thing in RE7. If it it detects you attempting to use Cheat Engine on a non-modified version of the game (I assume REFramework disables whatever they're doing?) for example it would just crash, you can probably slap RE4 in IDA yourself and check strings, I'm sure you'll find something. I think people are getting so confused because it's not really what we would usually refer to as an anti-cheat as there's no punishment for cheating, just the prevention its self.

That is correct. But anyone calling out anti-cheat, is just wrong. There's no reasons for anti-cheat softwares to be used in a singleplayer games. This is what I am talking about,

RE8 also had this 'cheat prevention' mechanic going on as well, Monster Hunter Rise as well, and you 100% need Re-Frameworks to go over it all.

They probably slap it in on all their REFramework games like MH:R, and was probably an intern project too. I remember that capcom's own anti-DRM was complete ass and useless compared to Denuvo; their anti-cheat is probably ass too.

If you don't know, not every game SHOWS you there is an anti cheat in the background running if you try to tamper with the game files/values, I can name many multiplayer games that has an actual anti-cheat built in the game files and not "popping up to load up and flash like look I'm watching you, if you try to cheat I will crash your game and ban you", most of the games have that hidden and it sends reports about named user trying to tamper with the game files or changing values.

But sure I respect your level of knowledge in early access indie games, where they always try to flash they have some anti-cheat running, so you feel safe and gain some trust in their project.

Sometimes you need to attempt and do things yourself, such as trying to research things or mod a thing or two to see if things really happens. Instead of enforcing your internet opinion lol.
