There is some anti-cheat and require you to "add" some file to disable the anti-cheat just so you can mod or actually cheat the game system.
You only need to drop in 1 file to unlock REFramework which is required for modding and using trainers. Doesn't mean the game has anti-cheat. Its a single player game.
You can mod the game from the get-go. It's a single-player game.
Well using a trainer or mods without the reframwork also mentions "Anti cheat detected, please add the xxx file to bypass it" So there is an anti cheat regardless, I don't remember any of the previous remakes needed me to drop something in to be able to mod the game files.
It started with Resident Evil Village. it only takes 10 sec's to drop the file in the folder.
I know it takes even 3 sec to copy paste or drop the file, question is why the game has an anti-cheat?
It doesn't have anti-cheat. Capcom doesn't block from playing the game while using mods or trainers.
Eh you already know I mod my games, not really a new thing, but makes sense, probably that was something to push that microtransactions dlc thing for the weapon upgrades, which is also weird how they think it would be a hot seller when you can farm it in game or just cheat it out lol.
I was never mad lol.
But yeah seems like that's the case and the closest would be so some people bite in and buy the worthless weapon upgrades that you can just do a save file changing to have a millions of pesos. Still that feels disappointing, I was even in the hopes since they added an anti cheat regardless of how weak and bypass-able it was, that they may add some coop mode for the mercenaries, as something new wasn't in the original, or even some kind of a mode where you can just screw up with people playing as the enemies, something similar to RE6 modes where you join people sessions controlling enemies, and the anti-cheat was for that.
Elden Ring is a perfect example of it.
RE4R does not have anti-cheat softwares at all.
You won't notice it unless you attempt to mod your game.
