Why did Capcom cut so many stuff out?

1 El Gigante in the village is cut out
Gondola part with Ashley is cut out
Some puzzles like shooting the Wine bottle or falling ceiling in the castle is cut out
1 Garador where you have to fight him in the small cage is cut out
Puzzle with Ashley (my fav puzzle) is cut out
Laser Room on the island is cut out
U-3 cut out

They cut a lot of things out but they added a lot of things too or improved on other things. Like I like how Luis accompanies you for a portion of the story. And getting rid of the QT sections, thank god

but will be called a remaster, which has already been done, adding the graphics of the image to HD as well

When you remake something from scratch, you end up with a new thing. Oh and this RE4 was called "reimagining" by the devs themselves, not "remake".

it is not capcoms fault you did not read the provided documentation on what the game is.

I really like that take, as Black Mesa was called exactly the same.

And ooohhhhhh, Xen looked amazing. Then suddenly Gonarch's Lair sucks, Interloper is too long and ugly, yadda, yadda, yadda.


Interloper is one of my favourite maps while I got sick in the original, by the vomit textures and that almost everything looked the same.

I’m confident most of this will be in Separate Ways. In the OG the cable car, second village Gigante and Garrador cage fight were in both the main game and Separate Ways.
So cutting them from the main game and saving them for SW makes sense to me, gives SW more unique content while also improving the pacing of the main game.

Some version of the U3 fight is also likely.

El Gigante in the village was not cut out as far as i remember.
Wine bottle shooting, i do want back, falling Ceiling was meh.
1 garador in the cage was replaced with the dungeon Garador part.
Ashley puzzle is gone, thank goodness, opinion varies, most likely the majority complained about this.
Laser room i want back, that shouldn't have been cut out.
U-3 is a major enemy that was important to the main game in the original, im hoping it is with "Seperate Ways" DLC

Just so I'm clear u3 is that boss where you run around a maze pushing buttons.

I had to look up a video because it was so unmemorable I had completely forgot it existed.
