CRASH
Game crashes right after a few minutes. RTX 3070, 32gb RAM, i5 12600K

Everything on MAX with Ray Tracing. Resident Evil 3 Remake did the exact same thing. Any ideas?

But if it's capable to maintain 90+ fps why the game crashes?

vram have very little to to do with gpu load, I had the same issue and lowering the usage fixed it

Yeah, it shouldn't crash, game was using about 6.5 gb of VRAM on Max with Normal Ray tracing on my 3070 and ran fine. I haven't tried max Ray Tracing though. But difference is very minimal.

1080p? because in ultrawipe 1440p with nearly everithing maxed out I was using 9.2 gb of vram and crashed wile opening the first door

Nah, I am on 1440p native, tried FSR2 Quality but game becomes blurry af. I don't think that FSR works like it should.

EDIT: Also yeah, I am on Texture High 2gb, I hope you didn't go all the way up with that? That would explain almost 10gb Vram usage lol.

I ultimately selected the "ray tracing" preset, set the texture quality to 2gigs, not max certain options, and the crashes cease. It does have heavy stutters a few times, and there is texture pop in present, but it's been stable so far (1440p user here); kept my VRAM from exceeding.

I definetly tried with all the settings up 8performances were goon until crash), untill I had to tweack them down to lower the vram usage

I had also one crash (Fatal Error) with RTX 4090 @ 4K Max Settings and Ray Tracing On.

Once I disabled Ray Tracing, no crashes at all. I had the same issues when they released the Ray Tracing patch for RE2 and RE3 Remake if that helps...

Game is still beautiful without RT imo so it's OK I guess..

Also the gauge that says if you exceed VRAM is total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. It says I was exceeding VRAM usage with RE2 Remake (when it was released I had 3080) and I was able to maxed out the game at stable 60 FPS in 4K.

Indeed. Same thing with 2 and 3 remake. I couldn't go beyond the red mark otherwise it would crash after a few minutes. It's extremely frustrating!!! How can they release a thing in this state? We've both got extremely good rigs, there is no need to lower anything.
