XBOX 360 PC Controller ISSUES....

Up until just recently this game was able to be controlled with my PC xbox 360 wireless controller, now it's not working... I'm sorry but this game doesn't seem to work well with just keyboard & mouse... Every enemy karate chops me and I have to constantly recenter w/ a mouse... NO THANKS... My controller works w/ a 21 year old game (doom) & Tropico 5 as well, so am I missing something???

Minor update, for 5 seconds my xbox controller worked then it stopped doing this in game.. WTF???

i have the wired xbox 360 controller and it does not work well.
i can't navigate in the menu with it.
ingame it works fine but if i get a notification popup, i have to acknowledge it with the left mouse button.
also i can't change controlls for the controller. it looks like the game does not recognize it.

Just tried wireless xbox 360 controller and it worked.both in the menu and in the game.
This is really strange because nothing was chaged ralated to the game controls for a month.

The controller worked great until the dumb dumb developer (hopefully) accidentally deleted a code the controller needs to function.. Like I said ALL my other games use the wireless controller just fine..

oh god my own stupidity.
i didn't realize i could change the configuratin manually, because it was already set to custom.
now i've chosen the controller and it works :)

Well before last update my game showed XBOX 360 controller as an option now its just CUSTOM, K&M and NOTHING else..

I am going to use a Powerful Uninstaller to completely NUKE all the Red Faction stuff off my HDD, then try to download RF aagain and hopefully cloud sync will recover my savefile, I am Very close to the end of the main story..

Did you recently install or change any controller/input drivers? By default it should work really smoothly and when you use default configs and plug the controller in it should be the default controlls.

I did NOTHING to change the official Xbox 360 for PC controller drivers... or it's setting in anyway.. I'm no hacker nor do i pretend to be one..

After NUKING my game, I tried playing it from the launcher the newer version won't work now, I have to use the DX9 version.. UGGGGGGGGGH... w.t.h.???

I did solve the controller issue. for some STUPID reason, RFG see's my JOYSTICK when it's plugged in but not my 360 pc controller.. What good does a joystick do in this game??? Why would it kick out a perfectly good controller? I'm downloading the game (AGAIN) because I was still having Steam edition issues, it wouldn't startup.. So.. any other suggestions that would help me out?? (Keep it clean.) :-)

Okay, if your game isn't launching but shows SYNCING SAVE, here's how you fix it... GO TO LOCAL FILES TAB, right click BOTH .EXE's and make sure BOTH are set to run in ADMIN. DONE...

Well I had the same issue went to steam Ed of the game went back force 360 control and saved via key board and well. It working.

I using a Rock Candy wired controller and it was working before and now getting the same problem when is the dev going to fix it?
