Remarstered- RFG Mod Manager?
Hi guys. I am going to try the RFG Mod Manager with it once new version comes out. I am hoping it will work, as I thought only graphics were updated and not actual game code. Did I hear wrong? Anyone have thoughts on RFG Mod Manager being able to work on new version of game? Thoughts appreciated :)

Again, someone else asked this the same thing. Mod manager should work just fine with the remaster since it changes only graphics, not the actual gaming source codes.

What is your source for this declaration?

And that doesn't say anything about mod compatibility or a lack of changes to game code. You may indeed be right, but you're just speculating if all you've got is the store page. Even if all that was changed was graphics, that could still break mods, and it's also possible that changes had to be made to ensure compatibility with Windows 10, or get native Steam Input support working, or just because they were fixing old bugs.

Yeah that's true that there won't necessarily be no changes to game source to make mods incompatible.. I guess what we only know for sure is that there'll be no gameplay changes, just graphics

It doesn't work. The remastered version has reorganized game files so the mod manager can't find anything now.

Hey guys - I'll check it out. I'm SOL on the sourcecode for the manager, but I might be able to hack it. I wasn't aware the remaster came out, finally.
They might've swapped the file format to a newer SR system, which could be good or bad.
Is the audio any better? The 360 compression was terrible.

I haven't played it yet because I'm waiting for news on this very topic. I don't really want to play it unless I can get Protracted Rebellion working LUL.

I remapped mine by uninstalling the old game and reloading the mod manager. Now your next problem, if I'm not mistaken, is going to be editing the mods' xml files to make sure that the various relevant lines refer to the new file names/locations. Probably a good bit of Find and Replace work to be done for each separate mod.
Actually not really. We think something has changed in regards to structural damage, but I've got an automatic converter on Nexus Mods that should fix the major file structure differences.
Protracted Rebellion is an overhaul with loads of dirty edits. If I'm right, I think it's 100% replace operations... lol
Might work, might not.
Eventually I'll get around to cleaning up these overhauls to use combine by field operations and also check for structural changes.
