How to Sins of a Galactic Empire Install

I have windows 8, if that changes anything. I had downloaded the mods from moddb, and I followed the instructions to install it. This just brings up a loading screen that I waited for literally 8 hours to finish, but it still wasn't done, so I quit out and here I am. any suggestions?

I have a similar problem, followed the instructions, copied the text they say to (including the extra line) into the enabledmods.txt but the game just crashes. I have the patch installed so it can't be a bug with the original mod. I'm also using the newest version

I also used the thing to give it more memory to use but still nothing.

im having the same problem. either it will crash or not load the mod

Ok, I fixed the problem (at least for me). What I did was just do the main mod first (by itself), then installing the other ones.
