Mouse Cursor Invisible
Hey. Just got Sins. I installed the game and it is running fine, but my mouse cursor is invisible. Like...I can still click stuff; I just can't see where on the screen the mouse cursor is. As you can imagine, this makes a RTS basically unplayable. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to fix it?

I'm on Windows 8.1 btw if that matters.

I think there is an option to use the default windows cursor in game that was added for the handful of people who have this issue. However, I am not one who needs it so I can't tell you where it is. <_<

They way you fix this is to:
•Search for the file: rebellion.user (This file is typically located in your Documents/My Games/Ironclad Games... for Windows systems)
•Open the file in your favorite text editing program (or notepad)
•Look for UseSystemCursor setting close to the bottom of the file
•Change it from FALSE to TRUE
•Save the file

Run the game and it should now show the cursor!

I have the same problem on Windows 10. I tried the fix, yet I still get the same problem.

I run the game on Windows 10 and it works fine. I would check the file again and make sure that you are in the correct directory and editing the right file. You could use the other method of moving the mouse till you see buttons highlighted in the interface and check the setting to see if it is checked.

Tried all of that, even tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

I had this problem - Some Nvidia update or Razer Synapse update - The false to True thing didn't work, but uninstalling and reinstalling SINS fixed the error.

yes, i started to have this problem too, when i switched to win 10. i simply changed the mouse to system cursor and now everything is ok. it was a bit of trouble to change it, because without a visible mouse cursor, all i could do was move the mouse around until it came across one of the buttons, and then use that as reference point for the position. then from there i just moved along the buttons until i got to the one that i wanted to click.

You can always edit settings like this by opening the settings file with a text editor like notepad.

I just encountered this problem. I followed all the steps above to no avail. Eventually I dug around in Control Panel -> Mouse Properties and found a checkbox for "Hide pointer while typing". I unchecked this and it solved the problem. I'm running Windows 10 on a Surface book. Hope this helps anyone else who has this issue in future.
