Orkulus Starbase can they still Jump to other gravity wells or did they remove that ability
I heard the vasai rebels have bases that can move around to different gravity wells. i can't seem to get that to work . i heard it was overpowered so they removed it or limited it to some degree. can they still move around to different gravity wells?

They can but you have to the phase gate system (the gates you build as a Vasari to go around the phase lanes) and/or the Kostrua Cannon (Vasari Superweapon) that creates a temporary phase gate node to use. You cannot use the phase lanes anymore for the starbase.

You could also use a Lvl 6 Antorak Marauder ([sarcasm]because those are so common[/sarcasm]).

i have tried most of those tactics on areas where i know the AI doesn't have a starbase. i lay down the phase lane with the Kanon cannon and after it hits i tell my base to move to that location but the phase lane or tech the vasari have doesn't seem to allow the base to go through

Do you have a phase node active on the planet the Starbase is at? Both the origination and destination planets need to have them for starbase jumping to work IIRC.

Yes, after you research a tech at the end of one of their research trees.

I don't remember exactly, and they moved it around a fair bit while trying to balance it. But I believe its a tier 8.

yeah its under the phase gates upgrade..the returning armada is in the bottom...i have experienced where a cannon doesnt work in the past..might be a glitch..also remember when you cannon an enemy world..that gate doesnt stay active for ever..have the starbase on the edge ready to jump while you have a phase gate in that gravity well

That is indeed the basis of Vasari Rebels late game attacks. Especially since the titan is only good against frigates and sucks against everything else, it really benefits from the Okulus' firepower.

yeah vasari rebels are waay op late game lol..this is why you dont let them get that strong in the first place
