Game wont run on windows 11 PLS HELP
Hello Forum, I Recently bought a new laptop with a better card and more recent hardware. I run Sins, but it crashes a lot. I can even start a new game without crashing, which worsens with mods. I want to play the star trek mods so severely, but it will not let me. Is there a way to fix this issue? The laptop I had prior that had Windows 10 works wonderfully with Sins, and the mods I ran with that computer worked and I hardly had any crashes with max settings. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. I have tried the other solutions, lower graphics resolution, verify files, uninstall and reinstall, and nothing works.

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

Does the game run without issue without any MODs installed?

I have win 11 pro, it runs perfectly fine. Can find full PC specs in my profile. Btw win 11 is just win 10 with new UI, it even has the same core v10

Hello Sean, I have tried to run it without mods, and it still has the same issue. It crashes after I even start a game. I Change the resolution, and crash when it loads the new resolution.

I seem to be having the same problem as Dom203. I recently purchased a Lenovo Legion 7i pro with Windows 11, a core i9, 32 GB of RAM, and an RTX 4080, and my game constantly crashes as well - although unlike Dom, this only seems to be an issue with mods for me (both Star Trek Armada 3 and Ages of the Federation). I just played an unmodded game for more than three hours without a crash.

While playing either of the mods, I've tried dialing down the model fidelity settings - they're now currently set to 'high' (three pips) - and while it seems to help, the game still consistently crashes between anwywhere 5-15 minutes of play.

On my aging desktop PC - core i7 8700K, 16 GB of RAM, GTX 1080 Ti - game still runs rock-solid. Both my new laptop and my older desktop are running Windows 11, so I agree with CMDR Shepard Shadow that it doesn't seem to be an issue with the OS itself.

Just to ensure you do no have any old MOD \ User settings from the past, rename:

\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games

to:

\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games.OLD

And try to run the game again.

It works. How can I fix the issue with running mods?
